It's the show for you if you're a female millennial entrepreneur trying to thrive in business without sacrificing your mental well-being. Emotional regulation is the key, achieved through movement, meditation, mindfulness, and more.
Why Emotional Regulation Matters for Female Millennial Entrepreneurs
Female millennial entrepreneurs face unique challenges in today’s business landscape. Many wear multiple hats: creator, leader, innovator, mom, and partner. While building their businesses, these women often confront pressure from external expectations and internal self-criticism. They balance business growth with personal lives, often neglecting their own needs in the process. The constant hustle can leave them overwhelmed, stressed, and on the verge of burnout.
Emotional regulation—the ability to effectively manage and respond to emotional experiences—is critical for long-term success. Whether handling the stress of scaling a business, dealing with difficult clients, or managing the internal battles of imposter syndrome, emotional mastery allows these entrepreneurs to stay grounded, make better decisions, and cultivate resilience.
The host, Jayna Swan, empowers incredible women to embrace their emotions rather than avoid or suppress them. By practicing self-awareness, integrating daily movement, and using mindfulness and meditation techniques, listeners will learn how to transform emotional challenges into opportunities for growth, creativity, and clarity.
We explore topics that will:
- Unlock Emotional Mastery: Discover how to shift from reaction to response and move from a state of overwhelm to one of control. We break down emotional regulation techniques that are simple yet effective, such as mindful breathing exercises, grounding techniques, and the practice of mind-body connection through movement.
- Embrace Self-Care & Self-Love: Learn how prioritizing your emotional well-being is key to your business growth. By practicing self-compassion and reframing negative thought patterns, you will develop an unshakable sense of self-worth, which translates into success and leadership.
- Move with Purpose: Through movement—whether it's yoga, dance, or even a daily walk—you can process emotions and release tension from the body. Physical activity is essential in maintaining emotional balance, and we’ll discuss the science behind how movement can enhance emotional regulation.
- Create Healthy Boundaries: Building a business can sometimes blur the lines between personal and professional life. We explore how to set and maintain healthy boundaries to protect your emotional and mental well-being, ensuring you can thrive in all areas of life without burning out.
- Gratitude & Mindset Shifts: We’ll teach you how to use gratitude as a powerful emotional regulation tool. By shifting your mindset from scarcity to abundance, you can transform how you approach your business's challenges, setbacks, and successes.

Rejection-Proof: How Getting Comfortable With Hearing No Transformed My Sales Approach
A Millennial's Guide to Healthy Emotional Regulation with Jayna Swan
04/01/25 • 15 min
Have you ever poured your heart into a project only to face rejection after rejection? That gut-wrenching feeling of uncertainty can make even the most confident entrepreneur question everything. But what if those "no's" are actually guiding you toward your perfect "yes"?
The transformative perspective I share in this episode completely reframes how you'll view rejection in your business. Your gifts aren't meant for everyone—and that's not just okay, it's essential to your success. I reveal the counterintuitive strategy of "getting to the no faster" that my business partner Tom taught me after 40 years in sales. This approach has revolutionized how I qualify prospects, saving countless hours and emotional energy that used to be wasted on people who weren't ready for what I offer.
We dive deep into practical questioning techniques that help you quickly assess prospect readiness, maintaining neutrality about rejection while staying excited about client transformations. When someone says "no," they're not rejecting you—they're simply communicating they're not ready for the transformation you offer. Their "no" actually means "I don't trust myself enough yet to do the work." The rejection-handling skill might be the most valuable asset you can develop, not just for business but for life. I share my four-step process for turning each rejection into a learning opportunity: assess, correct, reapply, and learn.
Ready for a challenge that combines this mindset work with daily practices? I introduce the Thick and Thin Challenge using the five M's—movement, meditation, mindfulness, manifestation, and celebration—that could win you $1,000 every 90 days while transforming your relationship with rejection. Are you ready to embrace the "no" so you can find your perfect "yes" faster?

The Hidden Costs of Our Love Languages
A Millennial's Guide to Healthy Emotional Regulation with Jayna Swan
03/18/25 • 19 min
Have you ever felt deeply frustrated when a friend fails to show up for a plan? Let’s dig into the emotional depths of our love languages and how they define our interpersonal relationships. This episode looks closer at Gary Chapman’s concept of love languages – quality time, physical touch, words of affirmation, acts of service, and receiving gifts. I share personal experiences that shed light on how our emotional responses can often be directly tied to our love languages.
The narrative explores how unmet expectations linked to our love languages can manifest in feelings of irritation and deep hurt, especially when others don’t reciprocate the effort we contribute to relationships. By examining the opposites of these love languages, we uncover the potential triggers and emotional pain points that can emerge in our human connections. We delve into the importance of communication, encouraging listeners to express their love languages effectively to foster deeper connections.
Join the dialogue on understanding these connections and the importance of acknowledging different love languages in our relationships. Understanding our and others’ love preferences opens doors to richer, more nourishing connections. Don’t miss this opportunity for reflection and growth, and engage with us by sharing your love language story! Subscribe, share, and leave a review to continue the conversation!

Quotes from the show:
QUOTE 1:
"Overwhelm often comes from us putting such high standards on ourselves."
QUOTE 2:
"Overwhelm is alleviated when we have a plan. So sit down, braindump everything you're going to need to do to get there. Put it in the most logical order that you can think of. Reverse engineer the goals that you're going to have to hit to be able to get to the big goal at the end, set a date and start taking action."
QUOTE 3:
"Automation saves us so much time in our business so that we don't have to be the one doing those little manual tasks every time that they pop up."

The Rollercoaster of Event Planning and Finding Success
A Millennial's Guide to Healthy Emotional Regulation with Jayna Swan
02/18/25 • 27 min
Bringing a vision to life is much like the emotional journey of childbirth, an experience filled with anticipation, challenges, and immense satisfaction. In this episode, I share how my incredible team and I navigated six months of intense preparation, overcoming unexpected hurdles akin to a thrilling whitewater rafting adventure. With unwavering support from Michelle and Eden, who selflessly sacrificed time with their families, we embraced the core values of our company to create a nurturing environment where everyone, especially mothers, could focus on their roles without distractions.
Challenges and setbacks are part and parcel of any grand endeavor. When our videographer canceled just days before the event, my photographer and I rose to the occasion, capturing thousands of photos and hours of video content that exceeded our expectations. A frustrating hotel reservation ordeal threatened to dampen spirits but ultimately highlighted the critical need for flexibility and strategic decision-making. These experiences underscored the importance of adaptability, teamwork, and choosing future partnerships wisely.
Amidst these trials, the event unfolded with incredible synchronicity, leaving me speechless and profoundly grateful. The retreat was marked by magical occurrences that I can’t wait to share in future discussions. For now, I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to the listeners and all those who made this transformation possible. By placing trust in my team and demonstrating the techniques I teach, I reinforced that with the right preparation and support, we can weather any storm life throws our way.
