Many people struggle in life due to false ideas about God, one another and the church. The truth of the nature of God, who we are and what our role in the world is, has been preserved in the life and teachings of the Orthodox Church. Unfortunately, due false ideologies and miscommunications about the nature of these subject matters, many struggle with coming to a knowledge of the truth. These ideas cause many to reject God and live in pain. Our hosts will discuss varying subject matters about the nature of God in hope to reintroduce God, man and Christianity from an Orthodox Christian perspective.

Husband and Wife are two non-believers who have always wanted to read the Bible. Why would we subject ourselves to this you might ask? From our perspective it helps us understand where the Christians around us, here in the Midwest, are coming from when they quote the Bible at us. Husband is basically an Atheist and wife leans Agnostic but mostly Atheist and we're just having some fun at the Bible's expense while learning more about what our neighbors claim we're going to hell over.

The primary purpose of the Deferred Gnosis podcast is to bring together contrasting perspectives sourced directly from the fringe in order to deconstruct the preconceptions of our culture through the use of critical thought and passionate discourse. By relentlessly investigating the whys and wherefores most are unwilling to explore, we will grasp those fleeting eternal truths necessary to liberate us from the shackles of sedentary belief. Although we indeed live in a mad world, we will unravel the pervasive madness by sharpening reason against the whetstone of radical thought.
Deferred Gnosis is a topic-driven podcast that touches on the subjects of philosophy, religion, alternative spirituality/occult practices, futurism, political discourse, current events, etc., with the occasional guest to contribute to the discourse. From time to time, we will devote a segment of the show to showcase underground music and art.

Cult Escape Artists - Interview Podcast - Feature Documentary - Documentary Series
We dive in to stories of artists escaping cults from around the globe.
The director of the feature documentary WITNESS UNDERGROUND interviews artists, musicians, actors, directors, authors etc. who successfully navigated mind control tactics and got out of a cult. Through making our documentary, artists all over the world emerged with amazing music, art, and stories which we show off as powerful examples of resilience and empowerment.
Film short synopsis:Witness Underground is a feature documentary that reveals the insular DIY music community that emerged within a high-control cult. Music, fame, and success are typically forbidden in this faith, who instruct its members to “beware of independent thinking.”
The artists at the heart of the music scene have their faith tested in deeply personal ways. They battle for positive mental health and push the boundaries of their religion’s norms, where leaving means being banned from interacting with your entire family and social circle for life.
Although severely restricted, they create the record label Nuclear Gopher and produce over 30 albums of earnest and personal music that spans singer/songwriter, riot grrrl, psychedelic rock, pop, EDM, shoegaze, and post-rock. Carefully curated songs and live performances punctuate their stories of friendship, deep loss, and personal growth.Watch the film - Follow the podcastWitnessUnderground.comWatch:
