Frequently Asked Questions About Audit Drama Podcasts
What is an audio drama podcast?
An audio drama podcast is a type of podcast that tells a fictional story using sound effects, music, and voice actors. It's essentially a radio play that you can listen to on demand. Audio dramas can cover a wide range of genres, from science fiction and fantasy to crime and mystery.
What are some popular audio drama podcasts?
Some popular audio drama podcasts include Welcome to Night Vale, The Bright Sessions, Limetown, The Magnus Archives, and We're Alive.
How are audio dramas different from traditional audiobooks or radio dramas?
Audio dramas differ from traditional audiobooks in that they use sound effects and music to create a more immersive experience. They also often feature a full cast of voice actors, whereas audiobooks are usually narrated by a single person. Audio dramas are similar to radio dramas, but the main difference is that they are distributed as podcasts and can be listened to on demand rather than at a specific broadcast time.
What makes a good audio drama podcast?
A good audio drama podcast should have compelling characters, an engaging plot, and high-quality production values. The voice acting should be top-notch, and the sound effects and music should add to the overall atmosphere of the story. Good pacing is also important - the story should move along at a steady pace without feeling rushed or dragging on too long.
Can audio dramas be educational?
Yes, audio dramas can be educational. While they are primarily a form of entertainment, some audio dramas incorporate historical or scientific facts into their stories. For example, the audio drama podcast "The History of Rome" tells the story of the Roman Empire in an engaging and educational way. "The Bright Sessions" incorporates mental health themes and discussions about therapy into its fictional plot. Additionally, many audio dramas explore complex social issues, such as racism, sexism, and homophobia, which can be both entertaining and thought-provoking.

omnitiyatro=(Omni = Her yerden, herşey, herkes)+(Tiyatro) istenilen zamanda dinlenebilen herkes için sesli tiyatro.
Amacımız, teknolojinin son imkanlarını kullanarak dinleyicilerimizi dinledikleri hikayelerin bir parçası kılabilmek. Herkes sesli tiyatro yapabilir ancak dinleyiciye oradaymış hissiyatını vermek zordur. Biz yaptığımız çalışmaları sesli tiyatro yerine zihin tiyatrosu olarak adlandırmayı uygun buluyoruz. Bunun sebebi özenle gerçekçi olarak tasarlanan hikayelerimizin dinleyicilerin zihninde tüm detaylarıyla hayal ederek canlandırılabilmesi. Bizim amacımız zoru başarıp dinleyicilerimize farklı deneyimler yaşatmak.

A group of dangerously codependent British misfits gather around a microphone, sip cocktails, and seek a glorious demise in a Dungeons & Dragons themed actual play comedy podcast.
With a cast that includes a failed Crocoborn sorcerer, turned children’s party entertainer, a dirty old human priest, on the brink of the afterlife, a retired half-orc police officer, a sassy blue Tiefling, surrounded by bees and a retired Gnome archer with PTSD. So, if you like your plot lines thin and crispy, and your language to be saltier than a sailor's beard, welcome aboard!
Disappointing the TTRPG & D&D Community since 2020. Not suitable for little ears. This show is mostly improvised and entirely inappropriate. Listener discretion is advised.

As an A&E nurse, Alfie deals with horror everyday, but almost being killed by a walking corpse and being saved by a vampire takes things a bit far, even for him. The vampire is Casper. He’s hundreds of years old, and hell-bent on finding out what's causing walking corpses to wander the streets of Alfie's hometown.
Now they've met, Alfie and Casper can't seem to leave each other alone, despite their best efforts. Alfie learns that the relationship between vampires and humans is more complicated than just predator and prey. Whatever Casper's misgivings about his own kind, and himself, Alfie is inexorably drawn closer and closer, in a heady, carnal blend of horror, hunger, love and lust.
Not Quite Dead is a (mostly) single narrator gory horror romance audio drama exploring themes of identity, sexuality and death. Totalling 40 episodes over 3 completed seasons, with S4 on the way in 2025.
This show is part of the Rusty Quill Network, and is created independently by Eira Major (AKA Hanging Sloth) who writes, sound designs, and performs as Alfie and Neige.

400 Words A Horror is a bi-weekly horror-themed anthology podcast by audio drama enthusiasts who want to get started in the audio drama world as creators!
We are a group of friends who dream of making our own audio dramas some day, but had no idea how to go about it. They always say, practice makes perfect, so we rounded up a few of our friends and got to work! Our goal is to learn the "how" behind audio drama creation. Co-run by Gem and Lys, 400 Words A Horror allows us the space to have fun, spook up a little, experience, experiment, and learn the ins and outs of audio drama creation! This is a learning experience for all of us so, any feedback - as long as it is constructive - is more than appreciated. Feel free to drop us a message on any of our socials! If you want to stay anonymous, our Tumblr ask box awaits you.
Sooo... why the name "400 Words A Horror"?
Well, the idea came to Gem while practicing with the Pratchett method called ‘400 words a day.’ The goal is to write a story a day in at least 400 words (ahem... you know, hence the name) to practice and improve on one's own writing. As a result, all of our stories vary in length and topic from episode to episode! We usually have a loose theme for the week and have fun exploring it together!
How do I get involved?
When we need or want to work with new people, we will announce it on our socials. In the mean time, follow us on Tumblr, Twitter and BlueSky @400WordsAHorror, join our Discord and hone your skills with us! We think we're pretty cool so if you wanna see how we're doing and what we're up to, those are the best places! Links are below! If you like what we do, following and sharing the show is one of the best ways you can support us. It's crazy how far word or mouth or a kind review can go. And, of course, supporting us here on Patreon is also incredibly helpful! ;D
