Who am I?

Writer and producer at Audio Mystery Theatre. Born to Dutch parents and raised in Colombia and England, I am a rootless wanderer with itchy feet. I've spent the last few years living and working in The Netherlands, Czech Republic, Sudan and Bulgaria, but I have now finally settled down among the olive groves of Andalucia. For updates on my latest projects please check out. www.olivierbosman.com https://ko-fi.com/audiomysterytheatre Audio dramas are cinema for the ears. You can listen to them while commuting to work, or doing some household chore, or trying to get to sleep (or trying to stay awake). Anytime, anywhere. Who needs a streaming service when you've got so many free audio dramas at your disposal?

My Show

What is my podcast about and/or how does it relate to the playlist topic you chose?

Audio Mystery Theatre is the home of "The Honeytrap", "The Story of Agnes Braitman"; and "Death Takes a Lover" It specializes in making dark, edgy, retro mysteries with a modern. There's a new series every season.

What is my podcast playlist about?

There are many more audio dramas that I wanted to put on the list, but Goodpods restrictred it to five. But these five are the ones that made me enthusiastic about this (new ) medium. Five varied, but wounderfully immersive dramas, that take you out of this world and hurl you into one of wonder, mystery and intrigue.

The podcasts I picked and why

1. Clockwork Bird

Why this podcast?

Piece together the mystery of the disappearance of Robin Jaeger, a man with four metal limbs, in this sci-fi horror audio drama. Shelly Croft organises recordings taken from the computer of Dr Sophie Bennett, one of the lead scientists on the synthetic limbs project, and uncovers more than just scientific breakthroughs. Clockwork Bird deals with mature themes and may not be suitable for all audiences.

Why this podcast?

Chartrulean was supposed to be the messiah the people wanted, but abandoned a life of piety to become what he believed his world needed. Imagine that the next messiah doesn’t come from religion, but from the tech world. Will his choices be more likely to save humanity—or destroy it? The Madness of Chartrulean is an award-winning fiction podcast that explores this concept using a unique blend of political drama, science fiction, fantasy, and Shakespearean tragedy. Chartrulean, the promised messiah, abandons piety for progress and becomes a shipbuilder instead. He ends a war and becomes the most powerful man on Arcas, ushering in a new technological era that rekindles hope for humanity while also deepening political divides. Chartrulean’s journey is deeply personal as he struggles with identity, leadership, and the weight of his choices. Rich in lore and political intrigue, The Madness of Chartrulean was made to resonate with fans of Game of Thrones, and classic sci-fi stories such as Dune and Foundation. It examines the moral complexities of progress, pushing listeners to think critically about power dynamics and the consequences of leadership.
