Who am I?

I am a 36 year old married father of three. I was late diagnosed ADHD and autism last year after my son was diagnosed autistic also. After a massive dip in my mental health while coming to terms with my diagnosis, I decided to start a podcast to talk to other parents around the world about their mental health journeys. This has been a massive step for me and my mental health along with being able to help my guests and listeners in their individual journeys also.

My Show

What is my podcast about and/or how does it relate to the playlist topic you chose?

I discuss my journey and the journeys of a new parent/s guest each episode and we talk about self care and the never ending pursuit of positive change towards mental health not only within ourselves but within our community also.

What is my podcast playlist about?

Some of my go to podcasts that relate to my podcast, some podcasts I have guested on and some I just enjoy.

The podcasts I picked and why

1. The Touched Out Podcast

Why this podcast?

My little creation. My step into a new world of podcasting, content creation, graphic design, audio editing and many more skills I never possessed. Most importantly my little platform to learn, share, laugh, cry and come together in a worldwide community of parents to discuss and share our journeys in a safe and judgement free space.

Welcome to "The Touched Out Podcast," where your host, Carter, explores the journey of parenthood from expecting parent to veteran parent. Each episode features a new guest who shares their experiences, struggles, and victories as they navigate the ups and downs of parenting.

The podcast is an open and judgement-free space where I have honest conversations about the challenges of being a parent. I believe that parenthood is a journey that never truly ends, and that mental health is a vital aspect of that journey. Guests share their insights and offer advice to help other parents cope with the stresses and emotions that come with raising a child.

The phrase "Touched Out" reflects the feeling of overwhelm that many parents experience when their children constantly demand their attention. I understand that parenting can be exhausting and emotionally draining, and I want to provide a safe space where guests and listeners can share their experiences without fear of judgement.

My Guests come from all walks of life and share a variety of perspectives on parenthood. Some talk about their experiences with postpartum depression, while others discuss the challenges of managing work and family life. Each episode is a unique and personal story, and I hope that the listeners can find something to relate to in each conversation.

This podcast is a safe space where parents can come together and share their experiences. I believe that by talking openly about our struggles and emotions, we can help to break down the stigma surrounding mental health and create a more supportive and understanding community.

So if you're an expecting or veteran parent, or just someone interested in learning more about the mental health aspects of parenting, tune in to "The Touched Out Podcast" for open and honest conversations about the challenges and joys of parenthood.

Two Doting Dads is a podcast series that follows the parenting escapades of two good mates, Matty J and Ash Wicks. Like all good modern relationships, they met on Instagram and instantly bonded over the fact that they were both sleep-deprived Dads doing their best to dote over their two children. They share a very laid-back style to parenting, they don't pretend to be experts and they celebrate every single parenting mishap (which there are plenty). If you're listening for parenting advice, you've come to the wrong podcast.
