Tell us about yourself – what is your background?
I’m a content creator with an extensive writing background, and content, marketing, and social media strategy experience. My skills have been cultivated and developed within the beauty, media, cruise, and insurance industries.
Why did you get into podcasting?
I thought chatting about life for women of a certain age would be great. As you get older, people tend to overlook and ignore you. At Mature Allure, we say, “The day you realize that you possess misunderstood mystique, and offer undeniable experience that tends to be secretly admired, but also increases your vulnerability to be invisible… that’s the first day of the rest of your Mature Allure life.” So why not talk about it?
How did the idea for the show come about?
“Mature Allure” was a section in my first beauty venture – Alluring Looks, an online beauty magazine. My mother loved that title and thought it was wonderful I was including mature women’s beauty needs too. Since then, my mom has passed, and I, along with my friends, have become mature. That got me thinking about how I really could use some life tips now and Mature Allure was born.
What do you hope listeners take from the show?
I hope our mature crowd realizes their value no matter what and embraces who they are where they are.
What's been the biggest challenge for you?
The biggest challenge for me has been launching this podcast, but it's been an awesome experience. I've learned a lot. Next challenge... getting the word out about us.
