Podcaster Q&A

Tell us about yourself – what is your background?

My name is Richard, I dropped out of school at 16, tried college three times, wasn't a fan. I hate capitalism and all the bullshit that comes with it. I've worked everything from retail to call centers, from warehouses to food industry, and even the gambling industry. I hated all of it.

Why did you get into podcasting?

For mental health reasons. It was a creative outlet and a reason to get out of bed in the morning. That and I thought it would be interesting if someone interview the Grim Reaper. If you want, you should make it.

How did the idea for the show come about?

I was recording with my wife about her religious trauma. We had to take a break between an episode and I thought to myself man it'd be so fun to hear an interview with Baphomet. That led me to play with AI and interview Death. It was super fun, I was getting out of bed, finally had some ammo to fight depression so I took it and ran with it.

What do you hope listeners take from the show?

I hope it makes people laugh. I hope it teaches them something. But mostly I hope they see how flawed our society has become and that we can strive to make it better. Just need acceptance, love, self-reflection, and an appetite for the Rich.

What's been the biggest challenge for you?

Finding people to voice the characters on the Mind of Sanity.

How can your listeners support your show?

We have a patrean actually. Or you can Venmo us. There is also our online store where we are slowly but surely releasing more and more merch for all of the Mind of Sanity Podcasts.

Any future plans that you'd like to share?

Well with the Mind of Sanity we're gearing up for Season 2. Some of the scripts are written but still need to be recorded. Otherwise I'm also working on a mental health podcast called CHOP, or Chains of the Patriarchy. We've recorded two episodes but I am still working on the goal and the direction of the show before it is released.

Anything else you'd like to share?

Don't take life to seriously. You'll never get out alive.
