YUH Episode 15 - Rock and Roll Heaven Podcast

Have you ever found yourself hanging around the dining room table with family and friends downing a few cold ones and waxing philopsical about anything, and suddenly it's 1am! Where did the time go? The memories and laughter keep you going until the next time you see one another. That is kind of what "Rock and Roll Heaven" sounds like when you first dive in. But when you take the journey down one of their epic heavy hitter episodes you soon realize that amid all the laughter and jokes, you have found a meticulous, immersive audible documentary of some of the greatest artists in the history of music. Lisa and I LOVE Rock and Roll Heaven, despite mashing up their name with one of their Pantheon co-horts. Plus some other memory gaffs through the course of the episode (womp womp). LD, Will The Thrill and TJ2 gave us and hour and a half of quality time recently, and it was an honor to feel like part of the "fam" for a little while. Cervon Campbell joins us from South Carolina. Cervon has had a very interesting and diverse career in show business, including work in acting and standup comedy, having once opened for Dana Carvey. In recent years he has really concentrated on his music, culminating in projects like "Spose · Jacqui Siu · Schlee" and an upcoming collaboration with John Oates of Rock and Roll Hall of Fame super group "Hall and Oats"! Cervon incorporates pop melodies into his R$B sound in songs like "Again" and his duet "Grey" with Sydney Schizzano, both featured in this podcast. We are really starting to have a musical theme in our most recent podcasts, a trend that we certainly welcome. Cervon Campbell was a great interview and we hope you enjoy!

My big sister is the snot nosed kid whisperer! As a kid, she would take me to the circus, Holiday on Ice at Cincinnati Gardens and Summer Fair, where she would show her mixed media artwork and macrome leatherwork alongside a collection of hippy friends straight out of the cast of "Hair". I idolized my sister Terri, and when she moved out (she wants to make sure you know a person of adult age CANNOT BY DEFINITIION "run away"!), I was kind of devastated. Among the things she left in her wake was a collection of priceless, porcelin Beatle Bobbleheads which I proceeded to destroy with extreme prejeduce... and a collection of vinyl albums that listened to while I missed her presence. In this episode, my amazing sister joins Lisa, Aaron and I to talk about those albums and all the memories that came with them.
