WWDD - Empowering Professionals Every Day!

Growing up in a single-parent home with a father that inspired perseverance and fairness, Marques Ogden learned how to define his values and set goals early on in life. He attended Howard University where he played Division I football. Marques then followed his dream and his older brother Jonathan’s footsteps, eventually getting drafted into the NFL in 2003. Overall, he played for five years as an offensive lineman with the Titans, Bills, Ravens, and Jaguars. Following his NFL career Marques started Kayden Premier Enterprises, a construction company in 2007 which quickly escalated to being a multi-million dollar construction business. In 2013 it all crashed down around him when he got involved with a bad business deal, and ended up losing everything. Marques finally figured out he had a chance to create second career and became a speaker to help others succeed where he failed. As a keynote speaker and corporate trainer, his passion is to create value for every client. His list of clients include AXA Advisors, The Home Depot and JP Morgan, to name a few.
Deepali's interview with Marques sheds light on the realities of life after football - the good and the bad. Marques’ remarkable ability to overcome adversity and hold himself accountable shows true strength and humility. Deepali talks to Marques about his journey to relaunch a Career 2.0.
In her rapid fire "Ask the Recruiter" segment, Deepali answers questions on post-interview follow ups and how to deal with interview rejection.

Madelyn Burke is a New York based host and reporter who can be seen across various platforms, including New York Giants digital and social media, hosting the Giants Postgame Live on MSG, sideline reporting on WFAN radio broadcasts, as well as appearing in a multitude of capacities with Sports Illustrated’s digital content.

While there have been few women that have been on the sports media scene, the ones that have made it are paving the way for women like Madelyn. There were many sacrifices these women had to make, dealing with biases and downright dirty politics to come out on the other side. Madelyn Burke is from Los Angeles, where she began her career hosting Fox Sports Net’s College Football magazine show, “Runnin’ with the PAC.” She then transitioned to covering the NBA, where she created a role for herself with the Los Angeles Clippers as the host, producer, and publisher of the Clippers’ debut digital video platform. In 2015, Madelyn moved to New York to work with FanDuel as a studio host and NBA fantasy analyst. She began her work with the New York Giants and Sports Illustrated, while simultaneously contributing to various platforms including Bleacher Report, MLB Advanced Media, Reward the Fan, and the live mobile game, HQ Trivia.
She is a woman that loves sports, loves her job and can hang with the best when it comes to sports talk.

Deepali's interview with Madelyn sheds light on the the good, bad and ugly side of sports media -- all from a female point of view. Madelyn has been creating a name for herself in the industry and is thankful for all the women that came ahead of her to pave the way. Deepali talks to Madelyn about her love for sports, her job and the fact that she can hang with the best when it comes to sports talk!
