She has published nine articles about MFW, skin tone assessment and pressure ulcer prevention in various journals including the European Oncology Nursing Journal, Wounds UK, Wound International and the British Journal of Nursing. Also been part of the development of a consensus document for the management of malignant fungating wounds recently. She has also co-authored a chapter in the Non-Melanoma Skin Cancer book. She is a teaching faculty for the ESTRO (European Society for Radiotherapy and Oncology) Society. Revolutionising Wound Care Education: A Three-Part Approach

Welcome to our third episode! We delve into the innovative tripartite approach to designing and implementing a multi-disciplinary wound care curriculum in higher education. I'm Sharon Gardner, Clinical Services Manager for Mediq UK, and I'm thrilled to be joined by two special guests: Jane Munro, a Lecturer in Nursing and Adult Health at the University of the West of Scotland (UWS), and Heather Hodgson, Lead Nurse for Tissue Viability at NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde.

Together, Jane, Heather, and I have embarked on a mission to modernize post-registration education standards in wound care. Our unique tripartite approach brings together three distinct disciplines from University, NHS and Industry, fostering a collaborative environment to share knowledge and skills for achieving the best outcomes in wound care education.

Tune in as we discuss the challenges, insights, and successes of this pioneering educational initiative.
