Ruth's Snap Vacancy Review | 30 August 2022 - Paid not for profit roles
It's all about paid not for profits, animal welfare, nursing and more.
This week WOB Executive Chair Ruth Medd reviews a range of paid not for profit board roles. This is consistent with our long held view that the amount of not for profits who pay their directors is too low for the work they do (we estimate 20% of not for profits pay their Directors).
Paid board roles reviewed this week include a national animal emergency organisation, a bank, an aged care provider, a nursing organisation and a council.
Skills sought across these roles include transformational growth, change leadership, governance, risk management, finance and strategic planning.
Ruth also reviews a New Zealand board vacancy for on a women's refuge.
Her tip for this week is to advocate for your voluntary not for profit boards to consider remunerating their directors.
