Sunday night was the big Charity Auction at Art Carlson's church. On Monday morning we find that only Bailey and Herb were in attendance. ONLY Herb bought anything...a painting. Herb didn't buy it because he likes it. He was just looking for some kudos from the Big Guy. Now Herb is out a hundred bucks, he's got a painting he doesn't like and his best buddy Les, who was supposed to split it with him, got called away to Dayton!
What's a salesman to do? How about sell the painting?? He sells it to EVERYBODY! Bailey, who loved it on Sunday but didn't buy, decides she has to have it. Wait a minute...it might actually be valuable!! Should Herb sell? Hold onto it? The pressure is making him wheeze.
Grab a calculator, Fellow Babies...you're gonna need it. By the time this one's all over you'll probably be out forty bucks yourself. Push 'play'...then put your hand on your billfold.

It's January in Cincinnati and the heat is out in the Flimm Building!! The Morning Show must go on, so our resident Doctor has ordered in a special prescription. It comes in a brown bottle and may or may not have been purchased at a hardware store.
The concoction has Johnny seeing things!! Is that Mama Carlson in the hallway?? Surely not...she never drops by unannounced. Then again, the cold makes people do some strange things.
Jennifer and Johnny are toasting Pale Gray...Mama is toasting Hank's magnificent shoulders and Andy is feeling the least bit violated by Mama's roaming hands. Keep your coat on, hold your mug out and get ready to take the chill off. Oh, hey!...Venus is here! (why is Venus here again??). It's a madcap morning you won't want to miss. Take a deep pull on that bottle and hit 'play.'

Art's been tapped by the Ohio Broadcaster's Association to give a speech at a dinner. He's got his 3 by 5 cards and he's done his research...but he's scared to DEATH about speaking to these guys. As Art says, "they can be a mean bunch." The speech is tonight, but Art is trying to back out. Andy, with a little help from Jennifer, convinces the Big Guy to give his speech in front of the troops to bolster his confidence.
It's a pretty boring speech. Sorry, Art...but, wow! Snoozerino! As Art drones on, the gang is lost in their own thoughts. We are able...through the magic of TV, and the incredibly hard work of a talented team of set, lighting and design people...to peer into everyone's thoughts and Daydreams!!
Herb is running his own country...well, so's Bailey for that matter...and Les is reporting from war-torn London. Venus is doing standup and Johnny is a whacked out rockstar (more whacked out than usual). The whole gang gets a chance to live their fantasies. Too bad Andy's doesn't go any further than the programming office.
Wake up! You really should pay attention. Splash your face with a little cold water, then push "play."
