I have just published Episode #18 of my Wild Nature Photography Podcast. In this podcast episode, we talk more about micro-fractures in CF cards in extremely cold weather and get to the bottom of what is causing this problem. If you are photographing in extremely cold environments for extended periods, this is definitely an issue you will want to be aware of.
My sincere thanks to all of you who have provided fantastic feedback and shown your support; either through email or social media for the channel. Just a reminder, if you want to show your support for the podcast you can also buy me a coffee to help with the hosting fees.

Wild Nature Photography Podcast - 04.08.2021 - Book Review Kamchatka by Vincent Munier
play

08/04/21 • 16 min

In this episode, we return to book reviews and discuss and review Vincent Munier's wonderful (but sadly out of print) Kamchatka. For those of you who may be unfamiliar with Kamchatka; it is located in a remote part of far eastern Russia, lying between the Sea of Okhotsk on the west and the Pacific Ocean and the Bering Sea on the east. It's renowned for its supervolcano, dramatic landscapes, and wild bears. If you can find a copy of Kamchatka in a second-hand book store anywhere I highly recommend you grab it at pretty much any price.

I have also added two new levels of support for the Podcast that include monthly image critiques for those of you who would like feedback on your work and one-on-one one hour mentoring sessions on Post production and Image Processing.

Wild Nature Photography Podcast - 18.06.2023 - Barrow Alaska Thoughts and Impressions

In this episode, I discuss my thoughts and impressions of the scouting trip I just completed to Barrow, Alaska and photography of the birds that inhabit the extensive Arctic Tundra in this region. The purpose of this scouting trip was to explore the potential for a future workshop in this far-flung region of Alaska, both from a photographic and infrastructure perspective. I will have a full written trip report with photographs in the next few weeks on my return to Australia. In the meantime, this podcast covers my initial thoughts and impressions on this ten-day experience.
