Growing up in Australia, Tim played lacrosse and developed a passion for sports and training. After receiving the opportunity to play in the United States Tim decided to make the move. It was after his playing career that he became a Physical Therapist at True sport where he would eventually meet Amanda Johansen. In the inaugural season of Athletes Unlimited, Amanda was working back from an injury, and it was during this time that Tim was able to help Amanda get back playing even faster than she had initially expected. On the show, we discuss the expansion of both True Sport and Athletes Unlimited. We dive into what effective communication looks like as both a physical Therapist and coach. Amanda talks about why she is passionate about supporting Morgan’s Message and why she is dedicating her season towards creating awareness for the organization and mental health in sports.

At the age of 17, Gabe enlisted in the Marine Corp where he did two deployments over a span of 6 years to Iraq and Afghanistan. With the discipline of the structure of the Marine Corp, it was during this time that Gabe started to find his passion for training. Throughout his career, he has trained several notable athletes and celebrities including Lane Johnson of the Philadelphia Eagles, Brian Urlacher of the Chicago Bears, Adam Lavine of Maroon 5, and Diddy founder of Bad Boy Records.

On the show, we discuss some of Tim’s mentors and how they played an influential role in allowing Tim to become the trainer that he is today. Finding mentors and making the most of his opportunities was due to Tim’s perseverance and determination to make something of his training career. Within a 6-year span Tim went from living on his moms couch to now running the NFL combine program at Kollective and training some of the best athletes in the league on a regular basis.
