White Label American
Supply chain tech and VC specialist Brian Laung Aoaeh, CFA returns for his long-awaited sequel to the laugh-filled first episode. So although we did get serious a few times while discussing the pandemic, laughter was never far behind as it is and will always be a part of our stories. First, we began with confirmation that I was not late to this recording unlike our first recording when all my ancestors, ex-girlfriends, and village people combined to make me late at a record time to my own recording. Such has never repeated itself again, still baffles me to this day. Brian touched on how he and his co-founder Lisa, became a team with their shared interest in the supply chain. Brian would give us more insight into how they were willing to put the supply chain community that they had built to work and save as many lives as possible earlier in the pandemic to no avail. We dived into the West African and by extension African space when it comes to embracing the supply chain (none of us can survive without it). How just by doing the basics of upgrading our infrastructure would be more than beneficial to the host countries, it would be great for neighboring ones too as the supply chain is an economic multiplier if you just get the basics right. Brian also shared how his journey into fatherhood has been going, his culinary tastes haven't reduced, nor has his taste in music. There's a lot more to Brian and I highly recommend that you check out Brian's first appearance on White Label American (Titled "What is Death"). I hope to have him back again as we have so much to talk about. Make sure to check out Brian's article on Freightwave from 2020 on modernizing Africa's logistics capacity (link below). Ep 135: You Can’t Escape America ft Angela Fobbs & Adrianne George

We haven't had guests born in the United States but living in a different country for some time now, who better than two unique and inspiring women that I have been a fan of right from Oct 2020 when I first heard about some of their work on my favorite podcast The Black Guy Who Tips (link below). Since that fateful day in October, I began following Angela Fobbs and Adrianne George the Co-hosts of the Black Women in Europe podcast.

The Black Women in Europe podcast was born from the multi-award-winning blog of the same title that has been in the running for fifteen years. Be you a Black immigrant or an indigenous (especially woman) in Europe, the Black Women in Europe blog has great resources and connections for your network. The second season of the podcast kicks off right after this episode drops. Link below!

Before blogging and podcasting, Angela and Adrianne both began life in different parts of America. One in a boring town, the other in an exciting place. Each woman's dream as a teenager also pointed to a different path but the universe always courses correct and thus began their adventure overseas. This conversation has unisex names, gangs, and colors, beautiful love stories, laughs, and so much was learned. Most importantly, get out and vote, we cannot afford to let the Fascists win. Climate change can be solved if we vote for the right people, so Vote in November!

It Was Interesting Being A Child Of Immigrants In Houston ft Houston Bred

Who was Houston Bred before becoming a YouTube and Patreon content creator? This is an introduction to the origins of one awesome creator that you would love to know. Houston Bred has some of the most unique name meanings amongst guests to have been on this podcast. Eventually, a college athlete, who never got carried away by her love for playing sports to the point where she wouldn't identify with her roots or her people. Taking the time to engage with communities around her, would open the doors of understanding to the dualities of being a Black American and an immigrant at the same time. Houston Bred shared great advice for future content creators aiming to go on YouTube. I am telling you, don't sleep on this sister. We talked about music (has anyone been able to beat the podcast rules in this manner before?), some funny food talk, and a great discussion about different Black communities around the United States. It is good to have people such as Houston in the content space. Judge Judy got to make her debut on the show via an honorable mention, opening another trip down memory lane for yours truly. A lot was covered in what may be quite a heavy-packed episode. Of course, we had plenty of laughs, I mean Judge Judy hello. Unconventional TV will never die, just try not to be the brand new me in America. Although, I shall secretly watch the 1st episode of my show when it's made and put on Bravo Network (hopefully produced by Houston Bred). This episode also makes me hungry for some Suya!
