Howie Mandel is known for his incredible professional resilience. Starting as a comic in Toronto, he became an actor who starred in St. Elsewhere, then provided the voice of Gizmo in Gremlins, and went on to star in countless movies and TV shows. He's now become one of the most widely known TV personalities, working as the host of Deal or No Deal, as well as a judge on America's Got Talent. He even has a podcast that he hosts with his daughter called, Howie Mandel Does Stuff. It's incredibly difficult to have a 40 year career in showbiz, now imagine handling all of that with a crippling mental illness.
In this episode Howie and his wife of 40 plus years, producer Terry Mandel, open up about Howie's lifelong struggle with severe OCD and anxiety. They discuss how it's affected their marriage, family and overall life, and Howie's lifelong fight to cope with it with Terry's help and support.
