We Are For Good Podcast - The Podcast for Nonprofits

We get asked a lot how we're able to drop three podcasts a week while running our business and giving our best to our families. There's seriously only solution, and it's batching. Other than batching gifts, we had never heard that term until a couple years ago when we started recognizing the parallels between entrepreneurs and nonprofits, and it is game-changing to staying focused and doing a lot in a short amount of time. Feeling overwhelmed? Overburdened? Whether it's professionally or personally, these simple little life hacks will help you "work in focus." Are you really multitasking or are you just frantically moving back and forth between projects? We're here to help, and naturally, we'll keep it light too.
Episode Highlights

  • What is batching? (2:00)
  • Bring batching out front and use it other spaces of your nonprofit, not just gift processing (4:00)
  • The average time spent on a task before you lose focus is 75 seconds (5:20)
  • How to apply this to your office (6:45)
  • Examples of successfully using batch work (12:50)
  • How we utilize batch working in our podcast (17:00)
  • The mental game is key (17:50)
