It's the 2022 holiday episode! Aaron and Derek are joined by actress Katie O'Hagan (Mia Winters in Resident Evil 7 and Resident Evil Village!) to tackle 2017's British Christmas zombie musical "Anna and the Apocalypse" directed by John McPhail. Katie shares her journey in acting leading up to her involvement with Resident Evil as well as her experiences performing in the game. For "Anna and the Apocalypse," they discuss how a musical can capture a gambit of emotions, the comparisons with "High School Musical" and "Shaun of the Dead," and what zombie tropes still bleed through. They also talk about their favorite tracks, how they relate to the characters, and what makes this a Christmas movie. Derek can't remember all of Santa's reindeer. Aaron smells like a shoe. Katie is dressed like a festive legend!

Romero and written by John Russo and Romero. They talk about the history of the zombie and how this movie transformed the concept into the modern cinematic trope. They also tackle the horror themes in zombie stories, Duane Jones casting and amazing performance, the copyright and distribution issues, the nature of the independent production, and many other topics about the film. Author V.P. Morris ("ShadowCast," "Dead Ringer," and "The Dead Letters Podcast") and podcaster Shelby Scott (creator and host of "Scare You To Sleep" podcast) return to talk 2016's psychological horror film "The Neon Demon" directed by Nicolas Winding Refn. All four of them have different responses and viewpoints to the movie! They discuss Refn's career and directing choices, the stunning visuals and use of color and lighting, if it has any deeper themes and meanings, among many other aspects of the film. They also talk about who or what the Neon Demon is and compare and contrast their opinions. Aaron and Derek can't sing, dance, write and have no real talent. V.P. and Shelby are the only thing.

EPISODE 100!!! They started with "The Texas Chain Saw Massacre" for their first episode and now, they celebrate their 100th discussing 1986's crazy black comedy horror sequel "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2" directed by Tobe Hooper with dream guest Patrick Bromley (critic, host of "F This Movie!" podcast, contributor on Bloody Disgusting, Daily Dead, and Corpse Club). They talk about Hooper's choice to turn the sequel for one of the darkest horror movies in history into a black comedy, what makes this one the more approachable and rewatchable flick, how the overacting (especially from Dennis Hopper) works for the tone of the movie, and what this film means to Hooper superfans Patrick and Aaron. They also get into the neon artificial set design, the descent into madness by the end of the film, how it explores class, capitalism and Americana, and several other topics. Aaron doesn't skimp on the meat. Derek knows the saw is family. Patrick is the Lord of the Harvest!
Thank you Patrick and all our previous guests! Most importantly, thank YOU...our listeners! Here's to a 100 more!

In his first solo guest appearance, film newbie Jonathan returns to Watch If You Dare to join Aaron and Derek in tackling 2008's psychological horror film "The Strangers" written and directed by Bryan Bertino. They discuss what works and what doesn't with both horror and plot specifically from the viewpoint of someone who doesn't normally watch horror. They also talk about the pacing, the small cast performances, the frustrating character choices, how the movie has aged, among other things. Why did Jonathan do all this? Because Aaron and Derek were podcasting.

This is a great Podcast. Derek and Aaron know the horror genre and, along with their guests, deliver an informative and fun conversation that is easy to listen to and makes you want to come back for more. The work they put into the episodes shows, and the banter is excellent, staying away from the ‘inside baseball’ chat that can often turn a listener off. Definitely worth your time.
