Was It Good Though? Podcast

Before there was The Pynk, there was The Player's Club. The crew is reviewing what many call a "cautionary classic" for Episode 94 and we decided to bring Chris back for this one. We discussed if this type of movie could be made today and what song each of us would strip too.....yes, you read that right. This episode does go off the rails but that's a common theme, so join us as we discuss the movie Written, Directed and Starring, the one and only Ice Cube. Along with answering the question that brought us here, Was It Good Though?

We're stepping and sliding back in 2001 for Episode 84: Save The Last Dance. We bring back a previous guest of the pod, Roomie to help us get into Juilliard. No chair was used during this the review, minus the ones we sat in but a lot were thrown, along with multiple shots. We made sure to hold a lot of these characters accountability for their behavior, if this movie could be made today, and took a trip down memory lane sharing some of our High School experiences. This episode does off the rails but will have you asking, Was It Good Though??

The crew is continuing out biopic run with Coleman Domingo's Rustin. He's been receiving a lot of praise for his role within this movie and it's no shocker as to why. We bring in Chris to discuss Rustin's friendship with MLK and his impact behind of scenes of the March on Washington. We made sure to ask, "Was Martin wrong in how he handled the Rustin situation?", "Did Rustin play his hand to far from his chest?, and of course, "Was It Good Though?"

First the first time, we brought back a guest that was on the banned list, but he might be back on it after this episode. Shoutout to Ness for coming back to chat with the crew. We discussed what childhood toy Santa didn't bring us, our favorite toy growing up, and there was a large amount of Gargoyle hate. We also discussed how would this movie look if it were made in 2023, with the lack of Toy Stores that are in business today. A few ideas were dropped but we made sure to answer Was It Good Though?
