Virtual Legality
With anticipation as high as it is for Tom Holland's third stint as Spider-Man in Spider-Man: No Way Home, Sony (making the movie in partnership with Disney and Marvel) has had quite the time keeping details of the film under wraps. But on Sunday, August 22, 2021, a secretive marketing machine's worst fears were realized. An unfinished version of the teaser trailer was presented to the world in perhaps the most unflattering way possible. As takedown notices and DMCA claims ensued, it was obvious enough that the leakers would be held responsible, but the greater question might just be - Does anyone else have anything to worry about? The answer may surprise you. With a great Internet connection comes great responsibility...in Virtual Legality.
