Disabled American Veterans (DAV) National Commander, Andy Marshall is one of us in many ways. His two purple hearts and the disabilities resulting from them led him to a 40-year career with the DAV. He was, prior to his retirement the supervisor of a DAV regional claims office and he shares many of the insights he gained on the front lines, so to speak. I know you will learn much from him and be enriched by the valuable information he presents.

Lt. Gen Dana Atkins Military Officers Association of America (MOAA) President and Chief Executive Officer discusses the efforts of MOAA to procure benefits for all service members and veterans.
The Military Officers Association of America is deceptive in that the general public has little knowledge of them. However, they are one of the strongest if not the strongest lobbying organizations for both active duty military and veterans. With 21 lobbyists and a number of other legislative employees and the fact that they represent 350,000 members they are a great force for keeping the needs of our military in front of Congress. Listen in to hear what President Atkins , a man who rose from the enlisted ranks to have three stars on his shoulder has to say about their current efforts and how you can help.

Commander Michael Okin, Military Order of World Wars sheds light on the ground level activities of this very valuable organization. Although they are active in many areas, helping Veterans, one the areas in which they excell is working with our youth.
The Military Order of the World Wars (MOWW) is one of the oldest associations of Military Officers and one that is not as well known as some of the others. In talking with Commander Okin it became abundantly clear why that is, much of their efforts are directed to service to the youth of this country and low key from a publicity standpoint but very valuable to those they serve. Many times, it is the efforts of one or two Companions, as they refer to their members. Listen in to hear what Commander Okin has to say and you will be as impressed as I was with the man and organization.
