Three games into the 2018 college football season and things are drastically different for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish and the USC Trojans. Notre Dame is undefeated after another win against Vanderbilt. The Fighting Irish offense scores just enough to win, while the defense continues to dominate. For the USC Trojans everything is in disarray after a loss to the Texas Longhorns. Almost everything is going wrong for the Trojans and most fingers are pointing at the coaches.

Week 2 of the 2018 college football season has come and gone. The USC Trojans suffered their first lost, while the Notre Dame Fighting Irish hung on to victory. The Trojans traveled north to Stanford and failed to score a touchdown. The USC offense looked disjointed, freshman quarterback JT Daniels looked like a freshman and the offenses line seemed overmatched. It was a tough night for the Trojans. The Fighting Irish won a close game against Ball State. The game should not have been as close as the final score. Quarterback Brandon Wimbush threw three interceptions and the defense was on the field for too many plays. Hopefully the worst is behind the Irish.

Everyone is happy on this episode of the podcast because both the Notre Dame Fighting Irish and the USC Trojans were victory over the weekend. USC came back to win at home against Washington State in a rare Friday night game at the Coliseum. The talented Trojan wide receivers looked good even when they weren’t aided by penalties, while the defense still has yet to get after the quarterback. Even though USC won, there is still a lot the Trojans can improve on. (32:13)On Saturday Notre Dame traveled to Wake Forest with a new starting quarterback and came away with a decisive victory. Ian Book looked good in his first start and the defense continued to excel. Now, Notre Dame is primed and ready for Stanford this weekend.
