In this episode of Untidy, Matty and Hannah are together for one final yarn before the year is out! Hannah is back in the land of the living, kissing the ground with gratitude for her return to vibrant health! She’s managed to claw back some parenting cred with the kids, too.
Matty is test-driving a new morning routine that sees her hitting the day with moxy and it’s not going unnoticed. The girls realise they’re both sick of ‘carrying the watermelons’ and feeling the need to dance. Matty owned the D-floor at the preschool disco, and Hannah has designs on West Coast Swing.
They’re feeling up with the play as they announce Untidy podcast is now on YouTube! Listeners can also find the show on TikTok. New subscribers to YouTube go in the draw to win the amazing gift pack they unveil in the episode! Winner to be drawn on the 13th of January!
Matty navigates the aftermath of a dubious curry with some helpful advice from her son, while Hannah talks about navigating the co-parenting dynamic over Christmas.
Finally, they send a huge thank you and best wishes to the listeners and supporters of the show!

No more sloppy lasagne
Untidy

In this episode of Untidy, Matty and Hannah get to sit down in person with Untidy’s behind-the-scenes cat wrangler extraordinaire, Flicka Williams. The girls catch up on how to transition your kids when moving countries without sustaining lasting facial injuries, then loop back to a topic that really lit up the listeners: solving the perfectly layered lasagne. With advice from listeners and a live call to a country mum for the last word on country cooking, they all feel inspired to embark on a ‘lasagne mini-break’ and give it a crack.
Hannah reminisces about producing a turducken (a bird in a bird in a bird in a bird) one Christmas, reveals unmissable pumpkin hacks, then lowers the tone with her next ‘doin’ it for the pod’ modern dating mission.

In this episode of Untidy, Matty and Hannah are back from their holidays with the chaotic energy of a toddler given two cans of Coke and a free puppy. They start as they mean to continue by striding out on a tangent that puts cauliflower back in its place. After determining school holidays remain an absolute nonsense for the working parent, Matty discovers that 82% of listeners support her in feeling victimised by the over-ripe banana — seemingly a recidivist offender of culinary crimes nationwide.
While Matty’s been living her best English Country Living life, Hannah’s had a deep spiritual adventure in India that wouldn’t be complete without a couple of laps around the Bristol Stool Chart. They both agree to petition for the ‘butt hose’ to become the norm in Kiwi toilets.
A marriage celebrant suggests Hannah shouldn’t lose all hope in dating apps, but, Hannah’s got a better plan simply involving an extra-large statement dog and loitering with intent.

In this episode of Untidy, Matty, fresh from her first week as a working woman at The Hits, and Hannah, fresh from her periodic mullet removal, try a new self-development trend — shutting the f*** up (just not for the next 40 minutes at least).
Both the girls get a sobering callout for their parenting techniques from their sons, Hannah talks through her confronting ADHD diagnosis process, and Matty gets left ‘on seen’ after an awkward voice note by the ex from ‘that poo story’. Hannah’s ex reminds her of a memorable night sneaking into a place they probably shouldn’t have, and she reveals a hot spot in Christchurch for great date juju.

In this episode of Untidy, Matty and Hannah talk to the multi-award-winning singer, songwriter and musician, Mel Parsons. Mel has released six studio albums and is a full-time, self-employed, touring artist with her own production company. She is also a mother and stepmother to four young children alongside her partner, Josh.
Mel discusses the tenacity it has taken to pursue her musical career, choosing to have a relationship with uncertainty rather than the safety net of a ‘Plan B’, and how she honours both her passion for a creative career and being an engaged parent.
She talks candidly about what she’s had to confront and accept in herself along the way, how she can’t handle 17 conversations at once, what self-care looks like, and why a balanced perspective on fish fingers and cheese on toast is essential for living within reason.
Mel’s soulful, indie-folk music reflects a life lived with bold authentic expression in every facet. She’s witty, frank, and honest. This is a conversation that will validate and inspire!

In this episode of Untidy, Matty and Hannah reissue their epic conversation from the podcast’s launch with Aotearoa’s favourite Somatic Sexologist, Morgan Penn while they take a little break over the holidays.
The girls ask if putting 'tab A' into 'slot B' is the only way to have sex. (Spoiler — it's not). Morgan talks about how to redefine intimacy in your relationships with your partners and ourselves. They discuss reclaiming your post-partum body, navigating post-partum sex, and how to have those conversations that feel all kinds of awkward.
