She was the associate producer of Raul Julia: The World’s A Stage Emmy-nominated & Imagen Award winning PBS documentary which premiered at the Los Angeles Latino International Film Festival. She is a graduate of Kean University where she studied Broadcast Communication and Africana Studies. Evelyn has interned for CBS/Viacom and New York Women In Film and Television. She worked as an assistant editor on several branded content spots and in-house videos for a NY-based Latinx production studio. Evelyn is drawn to stories about Afro-Latinx people with an emphasis on women's rights and colorism.
