Vanished! Where are The Springfield 3?

True Crime Recaps
Three women disappeared without a trace in Springfield, Missouri on June 7, 1992 and investigators have been baffled ever since. This week, Amy and Chris detail all of the evidence left behind and explain why there have been many leads, but no prime suspect after several decades. Suzanne "Suzie" Streeter, Stacy McCall, and Sherrill Levitt went missing from Sherrill's home one afternoon. There have been a few supposed sightings of the women with strange men in various vehicles and investigators even attempted to use a psychic to communicate with the dog left behind in the home, but not much has come from it. Despite everyone's best efforts, there hasn't been a sighting or new clue in years. Not even remains have been discovered, so will this case ever be solved? It just might with the help of the public. Introducing: Gone South, Season One: Who Killed Margaret Coon?

But there is a darker side to St. Tammany and that darkness ultimately consumed Margaret Coon. Welcome to Gone South Season 1: Who Killed Margaret Coon? Over the course of this documentary podcast series from C13Originals, a Cadence13 studio, journalist Jed Lipinski investigates the theories and motives surrounding Margaret Coon’s unsolved murder, shedding new light on a bewildering crime that has haunted St. Tammany for over 34 years. The Smiley Face Murders

Are a series of accidental drownings actually the work of a cabal of killers? This week, Amy and Chris bring you the cases collectively known as the Smiley Face Murders, but there is not universal consensus that all these men dying in similar fashions is the work of killers. Chris and Amy walk you through the evidence that point to a gang of killers potentially targeting college-aged men throughout the country. Virtually every suspicious death goes like this: a young white male is found drowned after leaving a party. He is found with everything in his pockets except his phone. And nearby there is an eerily graffitied smiley face. New York detectives Kevin Gannon and Anthony Duarte, along with criminal justice professor Dr. Lee Gilbertson have devised this theory to explain nearly 50 similar deaths. But various police organizations reject the theory and believe them largely to be drunken accidents. So are all roughly 45 of these cases just a series of tragic coincidences or is there a serial killer or killers walking free among us?
