Quarantines and Doll Houses
Trigger warning: This episode covers the harsh conditions during past quarantine procedures as well as possible suicide and mistreatment of immigrants.

We went back to Sydney as promised last episode. This week we cover North Head Quarantine Station now known as Q Station. Krysti covers the history of this facility and the changes it has gone through in the past to present day. Tori covers the ghost tours, ghost stories, and of course, the cemeteries. Tori rounds out the episode with more, you guessed it, cemeteries. These two are in Indiana and both are home to the doll house graves. And throughout this episode we once again get to the use our new favorite hashtag...#kidsaredicks

George Goes on a Walk to a Spa and a Ghost Goes Walkabout
Today Krys leads off with a story that starts in our hometown and the story of George Pogue. He was the first settler(disputed) of the Indianapolis area. And who doesn’t love a mystery? She tells of the history of Pogue’s Run and the only civil war battle in the state on Indiana. Apparently it’s better to throw your guns away than let the other side get them. Pogue’s Run is still here to this day just moved underground. Tori covers the Mudlavia Springs Hotel that has disappeared into the past. The ruins stand still there to this day. We have another hometown story suggestion this episode as well, this one from even further away. With this one we travel to Sydney Australia for the story of the Lady in White on Wakehurst Parkway. This is also a teaser from another Sydney story we will jointly cover in a future episode.

This episode was kind of a train wreck for both of us, fair warning. Tori leads off this episode with another listener story idea from Bethany West Virginia. God’s Acre Cemetery and it’s four foot wall is covered as well as a bit of history of Bethany College. The founder of Bethany College Alexander Campbell was also the namesake of the cemetery as well. Tori tells of the odd happenings and the next iteration of our favorite hashtag #kidsaredrunkdicks. Krysti regales us of Aunt Arties Antique Mall aka Woodward Hall in New Albany IN and all the many things that have been housed there, including a civil war hospital, an opera house, and a dry goods store to name a few. Aunt Arties closed but several other businesses are at that location now. Krysti covers the Vinton House in Cambridge City as well and all the history contained in that building. This episode was littered with puns and errors throughout the whole thing.
