Did you know the average person spends 92,000 hours or one-third of a lifetime at work?
That statement only reinforces the importance of this week's podcast topic, the Top5 Tips For Finding the Right Professional Environment.
Jennifer Barker, a digital strategy and thought leader, business development professional, educator, mentor and solutions expert, sits down with Tara Thurber to discuss the importance of working in a professional environment that's right for you.
In Jen's own words, the right environment should, "Light you up more than you already are now."
Having extensive experience in a myriad of industries, Jen shares her professional journey, her views on current industry trends and her Top5 tips.
Jennifer Barker's Bio:
Jennifer Barker is a digital strategy leader, business development professional, digital thought leader, educator, mentor and solutions expert. She equates digital marketing to a puzzle. Once the pieces are found, she puts together a strategy that creates a full picture focused on results through holistic tactics.

Throughout her career, she has worked for non-profits, agencies, and companies which have afforded her the opportunity to work with clients in the retail, pharma, finance, biotech, fashion, hospitality, technology, SaaS, HR, non-profit and manufacturing industries, as well as with Fortune 1000 companies.

Jennifer entered the tech world when the monumental shift from traditional to digital marketing was beginning. The growth in new technology during this time allowed her to explore, learn, test, and implement new tactics that once were intangible while teaching her the importance of agility. Jennifer equates digital marketing to a puzzle; once the pieces are found, she develops a strategy that creates a full picture focused on results through holistic tactics.

Jennifer’s career path led her to two major cities before planting her roots at the Jersey Shore. This, in conjunction with professional mentorship, community involvement, and life experience attributes to her success in the marketing industry. She believes her growth and accomplishments did not come from a classroom or job, but from living in cities engulfed with creativity, art, and culture, and surrounding herself with people that challenge and inspire her on a daily basis.

Jennifer finds the most fulfilment inspiring and empowering others in her industry by educating and sharing her knowledge about current and future digital trends and tactics via speaking engagements, presentations, technology panels, mentorships, and teaching workshops.

Karen Ann Bulluck, founder of Transcendence: Living A Life of Meaning, a boutique executive coaching practice, helps Tara Thurber ring in 2023 with blank slate!
The topic of conversation is risk taking. We want everyone to ask themselves what risks are you going to take this year? What kind of magic are you going to make?
If you are not fully satisfied and living up to your fullest potential, this is a podcast to help steer you in the right direction!
"Acknowledge where you are, and what the truth is. You don't have to judge it as good or bad. You can say, 'Okay, I'm not happy, I'm not satisfied in this.' That's not necessarily a bad thing. It's just a signpost, right? It's just a guide to tell you, where you may need to take charge and make changes in your life."
