Tim Ventura Interviews - Jean-Christophe Spilmont - On The Edge Of Collapse
play

01/27/25 • 39 min

Jean-Christophe Spilmont compares Orlov's analysis of the 5 stages of social collapse in the USSR to contemporary decline in US financial, commercial, political, social, and cultural institutions. Dmitry Orlov documented by 40% drop in GDP, a 50% increase in mortality rates, 40% decrease in birth rates, a poverty rate exceeding 50% of the population, and inflation of 2500% during the collapse of the Soviet Union. Today in the United States, homelessness, poverty, inflation, and our national debt have all increased dramatically. The value of the dollar is down 20% since 2020, and our national is up from $26 to $36 trillion during the same period of time. Are these warning signs of impending collapse, and if so, how soon? Is the United States on the edge of a catastrophic collapse like the Soviet Union, or are we in a prolonged period of social decline similar to the Roman Empire? The collapse of the USSR allowed rapid restructuring of the government and economy leading to the modern Russian Federation, whereas ancient Rome's decline led to centuries of social & economic hardship. What is the optimal scenario for the United States to minimize long-term hardship? Jean-Christophe Spilmont is a business strategist, futurist, and thought leader in digital transformation and strategic intelligence. Over the last two decades, he has assisted multi-billion dollar companies in their digital transitions, and he currently serves as the Global Head of Strategic & Industry Marketing at a large IT group in Europe and Global Head of Portfolio for its Big Data & Security Division. Jean-Christophe has an MBA in International Economy & Management from ESSEC, an executive MBA in Strategy & Competitive Intelligence from Ecole de Guerre Economique, a Masters in Biotechnology Engineering from ENSAIA, and studied in the Abundance Digital Executive Program at Singularity University. Tim Ventura Interviews - Alejandro Rojas - UAP Science vs. Speculation
play

03/22/24 • 61 min

Alejandro Rojas discusses Enigma Labs, the Scientific Coalition for UAP Studies, the AARO Historical Report, and the role of science in unraveling the mystery of Unidentified Aerial Phenomena. Alejendro's colleague at the SCU, Robert Powell, wrote a detailed critism of the AARO Report on Twitter, concluding with the statement, "AARO should stick to its mission statement, leave science to scientists, meet its requirements as laid out by Congress, and stop its bickering with the claims of whether or not recovered ET craft exist. That is the job of Congress." Alejandro discusses the AARO report, and addresses the criticisms of Powell, and many others in the community towards AARO. Rather than simply jumping on a government bashing bandwagon, he delivers a deep, nuanced view of the report and the agency that released it that helps provide context on why & how it came to be. Alejandro has been into UFO research for a long time. He's talked with David Grusch, heard the James Lacatski claims of US possession of crash wreckage, and read Eric Davis' Wilson Memo. Unlike many in the community, he's not focused on unlocking government secrets, though - and he questions if digging into black projects is even the right approach. Ultimately, the science of UAP research matters more rumors & claims. If those turn into hard evidence, they may benefit science - but Alejandro isn't waiting around for a tight-lipped government to reveal it's secrets. He talks about the need for cooperation, collaboration, and above all, a focus on hard, tangible evidence that lets us all move forward with this research. Alejandro Rojas is a consultant for Enigma Labs, a data, research, and community platform dedicated to Unidentified Aerial Phenomena (UAP), and also a founding board member for the Scientific Coalition for UAP Studies (SCU). Alejandro has been a freelance journalist focused on science, space, sci-fi, and UFOs. He maintains the website OpenMinds.tv, but you can also find his articles in the Huffington Post, Den of Geek, and the Roswell Daily Record, among other news outlets. Alejandro is considered an expert on the topic of UAP. He regularly appears in interviews with media organizations worldwide, including Politico, BBC, NBC, Fox, Coast to Coast AM, the Travel Channel, Syfy, National Geographic, and E!. Alejandro is the former Director of Operations for Open Minds Production, the host for Open Minds UFO Radio, editor and contributing writer for OpenMinds.tv, and emcee for the International UFO Congress. For several years Alejandro was the official spokesperson for the Mutual UFO Network as the Director of Public Education. As a UFO/Paranormal researcher and journalist, Alejandro has spent many hours in the field investigating anomalous phenomena up close and personal. Tim Ventura Interviews - Jack Sarfatti - UAP Physics Overview
play

12/23/23 • 60 min

Dr. Jack Sarfatti provides an overview of UAP propulsion physics, warp-drive design, time-travel, and related scientific concepts, along with thoughts on the UAP Disclosure narrative of 2023. Chapters: 0:00 - Intro 1:19 - UAPDA Disclosure Politics 13:24 - Compartmentalization 14:53 - Jack's Physics Colleagues 19:54 - LLNL WARP Reactor 27:34 - UAP Physics 30:41 - Metamaterials & Warp-Drives 33:32 - Einstein's Field Equations in Pumped Metamaterials 39:19 - Relativistic Light Cones 48:53 - Time Travel 55:40 - Conscious AI Machines 57:23 - Changing Narratives Instead of traditional "relativistic rocket" equations, the Sarfatti "weightless warp-drive" concept utilizes gravitational metamaterials to create a low-power warp-drive based on the conventional & well-accepted principles of relativity theory. Jack's model for warp-drive propulsion also explains the reported flight performance of UAPs. Jack Sarfatti has a Ph.D. in physics from the University of California, taught physics at San Diego State University, worked with David Bohm at the University of London's Birkbeck College and with Abdus Salam at the International Centre for Theoretical Physics in Trieste, Italy. Jack was the basis of the memorable time-travelling Dr. Emmett Brown in the Back to the Future trilogy, and the author of Super Cosmos (2005), Destiny Matrix (2002), Space: Time And Beyond II (2002), and the coauthor with Fred Alan Wolf and Bob Toben of Space-Time and Beyond: Toward an Explanation of the Unexplainable (1975).

Tim Ventura Interviews - John Storrs Hall - Nanotech Ocean Extraction
play

07/25/23 • 35 min

There's enough uranium in the world's oceans to power the world for thousands of years - along with trillions of dollars in rare materials. Josh Hall explains how nanotechnology can extract it, and discusses the benefits of seawater extraction. Over 4 billion tons of uranium is dissolved in the Earth’s oceans, which works out to over 100 quadrillion watt-years of energy. That’s enough to supply the current American 10 kw level of power to 10 billion people for 10,000 years. Uranium isn't the only material dissolved in seawater. For instance, Lithium is critical for smartphone & RV batteries - and the open-access journal Joule says while there are 43.6 Million tons of Lithium in land-sources, over 5,000 times that amount is dissolved in seawater at concentrations of 0.180 ppm. Another interesting one is platinum metal. Mining.com ran the article, "$16 trillion of platinum could be extracted from seawater", estimating there are over 300,000 tonnes of platinum dissolved in the world's oceans, at a concentration of 2.34E-10 grams per litre. In addition to minerals, seawater is also filled with organic materials such as fatty acids, aromatic & aliphatic compounds, alcohols, and more. From a nanotech perspective, harvesting these could provides us with a time & energy-saving shortcut to building larger complex organic molecules, right? I think it's important to contrast seawater extraction with traditional mining. In theory, this lets us avoid the infrastructure required for resource location, excavation & mining, materials separation, and waste product disposal. Rather than bringing the materials to the factory, we're immersing the factory into a material soup, more or less? I've been following the UAP Phenomenon lately, and I've wondered if the "tic tac" UAP observed off the Coast of California might be some kind of self-replicatin Von Neumann Probe. This is highly speculative, but if that turned out to be the case, could seawater extraction explain why this is all happening in the ocean? Another highly speculative question is whether NASA could use this principle in our own space program. For instance, there are salt brines on Mars, Saturn's moon Enceladus and Jupiter's moon Europa may both have liquid oceans capped with ice. Rather than trying to mine & refine resources on these planets, could future probes extract critical fuel, energy, or other chemicals from their oceans? John Storrs "Josh" Hall , award-winning subject matter expert, thought leader and influencer in the field of molecular nanotechnology. Josh is the author of Nanofuture: What's Next for Nanotechnology, a fellow of the Molecular Engineering Research Institute, Research Fellow of the Institute for Molecular Manufacturing, founding Chief Scientist at Nanorex, and former president of the Foresight Institute. Josh is an editor of the Technology Roadmap for Artificial General Intelligence, Associate Editor for the International Journal of Nanotechnology and Molecular Computatio, and contributor to the Technology Roadmap for Productive Nanosystems. He was awarded the 2007 Bela Kornitzer Prize for Nanofuture, the 2006 Foresight Nanotech Institute Communications Prize for Nanofuture, and is the originator of Nanotech "Smart Dust" or "Utility Fog". Tim Ventura Interviews - Chris Lehto - Unidentified Aerial Phenomena
play

12/15/22 • 40 min

UAP have been reported in the air, space & oceans - and according to Congress, "threats" are "exponentially increasing". Chris Lehto discusses UAP, USO, the NDAA 2023, whistleblower protections, and unveils brand new case files just starting to make headlines. "Buried deep in a report that’s an addendum to the Intelligence Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2023, a budget that governs America’s clandestine services, Congress made two startling claims. The first is that “cross-domain transmedium threats to the United States national security are expanding exponentially.” The second is that it wants to distinguish between UFOs that are human in origin and those that are not: “Temporary nonattributed objects, or those that are positively identified as man-made after analysis, will be passed to appropriate offices and should not be considered under the definition as unidentified aerospace-undersea phenomena,” the document states." (VICE - link below) Chris Lehto is a retired F-16 Pilot, UAP Investigator, YouTube content creator, journalist at The Portugal News, and CEO of UAPSociety.com, an NFT-Funded UAP research platform. Chris has a Bachelors in Materials Science from the US Air Force Academy, and a Masters in Aeronautical Science from Embry-Riddle University. In addition to writing stories on the UAP phenomenon for The Portugal News, he hosts “The Lehto Files”, a popular YouTube videocast with over 60k subscribers. Tim Ventura Interviews - Nick Colosimo - Artificial Intelligence Beyond Silicon
play

09/30/22 • 31 min

There are limits to transistor size & core density - and modern computing is pushing silicon right to the edge. What comes next? We’re joined by Professor Nick Colosimo to discuss trends in artificial intelligence and next-generation computing architectures. He estimates that replicating the 89 billion neurons of your brain in silicon would require hundreds 100's of kilowatts of power and take cubic meters of volume – compared to only 20 watts and 1.2 liters inside your head. What is it about the human brain that’s so much more efficient? It's an important question not only for Artificial Intelligence, but for information processing in general. DCDC’s Global Strategic Trends estimates that mankind will generate over 178 million exabytes of digitally stored data by the year 2045. We can store that data, but can we process it effectively - or will we end up living in a world of "missed opportunities"? Nick Colosimo is an accomplished strategist, engineer, technologist and futurist. He currently has a dual role is as the Head of Strategy & Integration as well as the Autonomy & Robotics Senior Technologist & Cluster Lead at BAE Systems Air. He is also a visiting Professor at Cranfield University, assigned to the Autonomous and Cyber-Physical Systems Centre. Nick has just completed a Master’s of Science in Applied Artificial Intelligence at Cranfield University, and has over 70 published, granted, and classified patents across a wide array of disciplines in the aerospace, energy, and computing sectors. Tim Ventura Interviews - Gerald Q. Maguire, Jr. - Brain Implant Technologies
play

12/31/24 • 57 min

Dr. Gerald Q. Maguire, Jr. discusses Neuralink, Synchron & the future of brain implant technologies themes from his paper, "Becoming Borg to Become Immortal". Last year, Neuralink implanted their first patient with a brain implant, and rival manufacturer Synchron has already enrolled six patients - forcing us to confront the question of whether brain implants have different moral & ethical concerns than other parts of the body, or do they highlight existing ethical questions that haven't been adequately addressed? Dr. Maguire and co-author Ellen McGee wrote "the potential of brain implants to change and significantly affect humans is potentially far greater than that of genetic or drug enhancements", because implants open the door to new information, whereas genetics & drugs can only improve what's already there. Brain implants are a miniaturization of information technologies we already use - like smartphones & wearables. Over time our digital appliances have gotten smaller, and Maguire argues that they will inevitably become part of bodies - and in a sense, we will become part of the Borg. Dr. Gerald Q. Maguire, Jr. is Professor Emeritus at KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Sweden and Fellow of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers. Dr. Maguire has a Bachelors in Physics from the Indiana University of Pennsylvania and a two PhD degrees in Computer Science from the University of Utah. He has also been a Gastprofessor with Technische Universität Graz and a Program Director for Experimental Systems at the U.S. National Science Foundation.
