022 - Eddie Panting - Men's Mental Health, Community, and Purpose
Welcome to the Three Phase Podcast, today we are delving into the critical topic of men's mental health and suicide prevention with my good friend Eddie Panting. This is a subject we have talked about together many times in private but see the need to be apart of bringing topics like these to the light.
Eddie was involved with a Men's Mental Health panel this summer '23 where an open discussion about the rate of male suicide, lack of purpose, demonizing male characteristics, among a few were brought up. On episode 22 we go into that and more. I hope you have great takeaways from this episode and can apply the positive direction to your lives or influence the lives of others around you.
It's important to understand that the information provided in this podcast is not a substitute for professional help. If you or someone you know is in crisis or experiencing suicidal thoughts, immediate action is necessary. In Canada, you can contact Crisis Services Canada at 1-833-456-4566 or text 45645. In the United States, the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline is available at 1-800-273-TALK (1-800-273-8255) or text "HELLO" to 741741. These services offer confidential support and guidance 24/7."
