On this episode we discuss one of the most enduring and visceral myths in humanities history; dating from ancient civilisations; even mentioned in the bible and other ancient religious texts and recognised all the way up to many modern media masterpieces; the concept of the bloodsucking prince of the night still holds a strong sentiment in all our hearts so this time we are talking about Vampires.

From tales of forlorn lovers and rich aristocrats draining yearning wenches of their blood, to monsters exsanguinating all and sundry in remote villages and sleepy town in Eastern Europe the lore of the vampire mythos endures for centuries. It is most well known today by the foppish and romantically charged stories of teenage vampire heartthrobs but the Vampire is a deep rooted image of the dissuasion of common folk to give in to their animalistic urges and as a stark health warning designed to be preserved in the minds of men, protecting from disease and poison of the blood and bloodlines.

While Vampires seem wholly unbelievable in their dark magic roots, there are many tales of very real men who would behave as these monsters reputedly do. Serial Killers, Murderers, Madmen and Tyrant Kings, all carry the title of Vampire for their dark deeds and fascination with blood. From biblical tales like Lilith to real historical figures like Vlad the Impaler the vampire myth is deeply interwoven into our collective subconscious and often mixed in with a very tangible part of human nature not all of us are willing to admit we identify so closely with.

On this episode I interview Nora Koppel, daughter of Hinterkaifek expert Adolf Koppel, all about the facts of the case as proven by the investigations of her father. Dolf wrote the book Lerchenstimme (The Lark's Song) and book in German about The Hinterkaifek Murders and he claims to have proof of what happened to the Gruber Family on those fateful days 100 years ago at Hinterkaifek.

Dolf recreated weapons, made moulds of wounds and combed through the 100 year old evidence to bring this case back to life and try to get it solved. We already went through the details of this case a while back; but this new set of information and the 100 year anniversary makes it a lovely revisit with Nora. We have the craic and I feel like a silly goose at times with my crazy guess work from the last episode; but with two books (one narrative and one evidence based) and a stage play coming up in June; this case is definitely getting a reinvigoration of interest. On this episode we casually hold our hand over our brow as we inquisitively stare into the glare of the midday sun; searching for an ancient truth in a barren land and uncovering possibly the ultimate mysteries of our creation, our civilisation and the nature of our planet in this episode all about The Mystery of the Pyramids.

From the classic pyramid on the Giza plateau in Egypt to the buried pyramids under the lush undulating hills of Bosnia, the wide sprawling once thriving civilisations in deepest South American jungles or the diligently preserved and revered monasteries and holy structures in Asia; the pyramid has endured as a symbol of a time that came before and a way of life for humanity that has been forgotten.

These fantastic structures have withstood the test of time; of war, greed, and wanton destruction; only to leave behind a mystery that is almost unfathomable. The clues found in these wonders of the world, are the steps closer we desperately want to take in fully understand where we can from and what our purpose is. Clues like the sacred geometry found in the great pyramid of Khufu; or the ancient carvings on walls long left untouched by human hands.

These mega structures are found all over the globe and they hold great significance to our current age by communicating through the universal language of mathematics and showing us that a once presumed primitive people, were actually much more advanced than ever thought possible. With measurements that depict the astrological distances of the sun, moon and stars and even some other very complicated scientific concepts; these megalithic measurement markers are a definite proof of the existence of ancient civilisations much more advanced that we thought.

More mysterious still are the newly minted concepts of an even more ancient civilisation than the Egyptians, who created the pyramids and the thriving civilisations that built them. The Giza pyramids and The Sphinx showing signs of a much older creation date; mean that there is a hidden history of the human species and the power that these ancient people created is still present in our modern world.

On this episode we talk about one of the darkest and torture laden murders that has ever graced the mics at TCG Towers; this episode is the gory tale of a satanic drug dealing cults inhuman efforts to kidnap, torture, and then gruesomely murder American tourist Mark Kilroy. Dark, this one gets dark!

Mark Kilroy was a catholic student who went to Texas State and one Spring Break went to Brownsville with a small stop over the border in Matamoros. This was the last trip for Mark as he was snatched up by the gang of Adolfo Costanzo; a cult leader and dark religious practitioner. They performed sick and twisted rituals on Mark until his death and then led the authorities on chase which ended in a siege.

Crazy stuff in this one; and joining me on the morose but still somehow hilarious journey is comedian Stephen Bradley. Stephen is one of the founders of MOB Theatre Dublin and is a fantastic improviser, writer, comedian and lovely man. We do go off on a lot of pop culture tangents in this one; but you can choose to see it as a bit of levity to dilute the awfulness of the details of this story.

We discuss this and lots more including the Hollywood agenda; social media fact checkers; The Church Committee and we try to reason why a government would try to do this to their own people and how the rest of the world took it on like it was cool!
