Welcome back to This Will Get Messy.
Mars is adjusting to corporate life and carrying on with her little life misfortunes... She got bitten by a spider all over her neck but she couldn’t care less because she unexpectedly went to Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour! In the meantime, Roberto got a haircut and is being compared to Travis Kelce (he really does look like Kelce). Roberto signed up to the gym with his parents and, surprisingly, his parents are still going.
Today, Roberto chose to centre the conversation around asking questions, in particular the tricker ones. Roberto is a conversation person by default so to him asking questions has become a habit. He asks questions to hear people’s perspectives and to get to know people better. On the other hand, Mars plays out the situation in her brain prior to asking. Tune into this episode to listen to your hosts chat about asking questions, navigating conversations, fun versus serious chats, a polarised world with cancel culture, friendship feedback reviews, confrontational talks, and setting boundaries.
So which person are you: do you think before asking a hard question or do you just go for it? Drop your answer on our socials.

Education: Is university a worthwhile investment anymore?
Welcome back to This Will Get Messy.
Roberto is rediscovering life at home in Venezuela, and most importantly, the bomb food and drink. Mars extensively fangirls over her unexpected opportunity to see Taylor Swift open the Eras Tour in London.
University always sat as the obvious path for your hosts growing up, but how many people actually do anything relevant to their degree in this day and age, or take up careers that they mostly learn on the job? Today, the conversation revolves around the value of attending university in this day and age amongst tough competition for jobs. Your hosts both took the traditional university path but have since questioned whether they would repeat this choice knowing what they know now. The answer? Nah, probably not. Tune into this episode to listen to your hosts discuss university, apprenticeships, the educational system, career changes, and figuring it out regardless of the mess.

Adulthood: Can we stop adulting so hard?
Welcome back to This Will Get Messy.
Roberto’s accent has become so blended from living abroad that people in Caracas don’t believe he’s from there. Meanwhile, Mars almost arrives to her holiday in the boot of a car and doesn’t sleep for over 36 hours amidst flight delays coming back from her weekend getaway. She’s officially sworn off of Stansted airport.
As a teen, Mars used to think the twenty year olds had it all figured out. How wrong she was. Today, the conversation revolves around what adulthood meant as a kid, the impostor syndrome many of us feel as adults, and the realisation that defining your own path is what adulthood really means. Tune into this episode if you’ve ever felt like you know nothing and are just figuring it out as you go, because your hosts are right there with you. Here’s to being human first and making it through without a f***ing clue.
