Jack F. and Esteban M. are 4th graders at Spruce Street School downtown in Tribeca, NYC. They are funny, borderline brilliant, creative, close friends, and most importantly, good and kind young humans. Suzanne brings them on the show to discuss their favorite words and the various iterations these words entail. We are excited to have you hear their interview; they did a beautiful job, and we are beyond impressed with their poise, ideas, and emotional maturity. They will also make you laugh (trust us).

Special thank you to Anita and Steve, Esteban’s parents, and Kara and David, Jack’s parents, for encouraging them to be on the podcast and for supporting their eagerness to talk to us about their opinions. The future looks bright!

Jack F. Bio

Jack F. is in 4th grade at Spruce Street School in Manhattan, New York. He has one younger sister (who is the funniest person he knows), three older half-brothers and is the biggest NY Yankees fan you will ever meet; however, he also likes football, particularly the Dallas Cowboys. His favorite food is Chicken Caesar Salad--favorite candy is NERDS. He LOVES WW2 history and will read any book about this topic. His favorite movies are Rocky and Friday, the 13th. Recently, he started taking boxing lessons and is truly enjoying his sessions! Additionally, he has been studying guitar for over a year and is getting quite good at it. He loves to visit family in Connecticut and Massachusetts, where he often rides horses. Lastly, he is hoping his parents will get him a dog in the spring!

QUOTE: On “Love”--”We need love in order to live.”

Esteban M. Bio

Esteban M. is a 4th grader at Spruce Street School in Manhattan, New York. He is the older brother to Bruno and Hugo, his favorite people. He loves to eat tacos and mangoes. He is a voracious reader and has read more books than he can count, especially during quarantine in the spring. His new obsession is Goosebumps, by R.L. Stine. He loves WW2 history (just like Jack), as well as history in general. Some of his favorite American icons include Frederick Douglass, Susan B. Anthony, and Alexander Hamilton. His favorite places in the world are his family’s coffee farms in Nicaragua. Finally, he is a fan of Texas A and M football and likes to yell at the tv with his dad during games.

QUOTE: On “Excellent”--”Excellent to me means beautiful, amazing..exquisite.”
