Episode 74: Get ready yogis, todays yoga filled episode with Marie Grujicic is a good one! Marie, born and raised in France moved to the States more than 15 years ago with a Parisian cabaret troupe to perform at the MGM Grand Las Vegas, she then discovered yoga during her professional dance career with Cirque du Soleil. After many years on stage, and injuries yoga truly helped her heal her body and soothed her mind from the turmoil of the entertainment industry.
Through her years of experience and more than 800 hours, Marie has developed her own creative class structure "awespiring flows" which invites you to free flow at times with an emphasis on organic, fluid almost dance like transitions.
“Awespire,” is more than just an interesting word to Marie. This idea of being in a “state of bliss while staying inspired” is her driving philosophy, like roots to the ground that she walks on. Her classes are fun, playful and infused with functional movement, dance and props play time. Marie shares her time between Europe and the States and collaborating with prominent wellness companies, holds yearly 200hr YTT, international yoga retreats, teaches online yoga class weekly and will be premiering her Awespire Yoga app in early 2022 to support your daily yoga practice.
In this episode Marie shares how she transformed her full time teaching career during the pandemic, shifting from in person studio classes to virtual yoga, tips for new yoga teachers in todays climate, how to sequence creatively and sequence with an intention, insecurities around flexibility, the importance of continuing your education and so much more!
