04/16/23 • 16 min
Have you identified your ADHD entrepreneur values?
"You hire a bunch of people, you create an offer, you market it, you do all this stuff, and then you realize... holy shit, this is not what I want at all. This doesn't reflect me as a human.." - Katie McManus, Brave Business Coaching
When you're travelling at a million miles per hour in your business, it can be really easy to lose track of what's important.
Of the kinds of clients you want to work with.
In the kinds of circumstances and settings you want to work with them in.
This episode is all about getting you to slow down and give some thought to the things in life that are important to you. Your ADHD-preneur values should be central to everything you do. Let's identify them together!
Pssst! Do you hate the sound effects used in the podcast? If so, here's a version without!
At the end of the episode, Katie directs you to book in a session with her to get more help with your values.

My own three values
I can't stress enough how important it is for you to get straight on your values if you want to be an entrepreneur (particularly an ADHD-preneur) who shows up as your best self.
An optimal human.
Because - let's face it - that's frickin' important if you're gonna keep showing up to do the thing you do, every single day!
In this episode I'm going to help you get your head around the importance of figuring this out.
I'm going to share my own personal values with you for context so that you can adapt the idea with your own life and business.
I also share a way you can take the next step in getting this figured out, towards the end of the episode, so do give it a listen!
Anyway, my three values:
- Freedom
- Control
- Labradoodle.
Yep, that's right.
Labradoodle.
That's an actual value of mine.
It'll all become clear if you listen.
The Fiat 500!
I drive a Fiat 500.
My mom calls it a roller skate.
I call it Tina Fey.
Yep, I know that's a lot to unpack.
Don't worry, it'll all make sense if you listen, but the point is that car has a user manual.
A 'standard operating procedure' for getting the best out of it. You'll be wanting the same if you want to get the best out of you.
And this episode is here to help!
This episode that's all about ADHD-preneur values, covers:
- What ADHD-preneur values really are (they're not 'honesty' etc...)
- The three values I live by!
- Why you need values anyway
- An option you can take for getting this really nailed down and transforming your life!

How can ADHD entrepreneurs use manifestation? The science behind 'the law of attraction' explained!
The Weeniecast: make more money, create an impact
11/03/23 • 29 min
Welcome to another episode of Weeniecast, the podcast for ADHD entrepreneurs looking to level up their business strategies.
I'm Katie McManus, your business strategist and money mindset coach.
In this episode, we're getting a little what some would call 'woo' and taking a look into the world of manifestation from the perspective of being an ADHD entrepreneur.
Look, for some it might seem a bit out there, but there is a real science behind the power of manifestation and the law of attraction. And it's my goal to get you opening your mind, and embracing it as part of your journey as an ADHD business owner.
But still, we have ADHD.
We understand that the conventional approaches to manifesting may not always work for us neurodiverse individuals, and that's why we're here to explore a better way.
So I'm gonna be breaking down the unique challenges faced by ADHD entrepreneurs when it comes to focusing, experiencing positive emotions, and dealing with the details of manifestation.
Get ready to unleash your manifesting potential and learn how to bring your business goals to life.
Let's discover how people with ADHD can truly manifest what they desire.
Understanding Manifestation for ADHD EntrepreneursSo to begin with, we explore how people with ADHD can effectively manifest their goals and desires.
We acknowledge that traditional manifestation techniques often cater to neurotypicals, so we're here to discuss a better approach for ADHD individuals.
By understanding the basic principles of manifestation and focusing on positive emotions, ADHD entrepreneurs can tap into their unique strengths to achieve their desired outcomes.
Embracing Positive Focus and Letting Go of DetailsBefore we can make any kind of change, we need to be focusing on positive emotions and letting go of the need to control every detail.
ADHD entrepreneurs are known for their innovative problem-solving skills, but this approach may hinder manifestation.
I'd love it if you listen to this episode and then feel empowered to imagine your desired outcomes and focus on the benefits, rather than getting caught up in the logistics or negative aspects.
For instance, instead of worrying about filling a mansion with furniture, I'd say get yourself excited about hosting yourself some kickass parties and enjoying the company of friends in this dream space!
The key moments in this episode are:00:02:03 Focus on abundance, not scarcity, when manifesting.
00:04:16 ADHD makes manifestation difficult for forgetful minds.
00:07:22 Worrying about furnishing rather than the goal.
00:10:09 Organic garden provides community food access, pests managed by ducks.
00:14:45 Always notice yellow Jeeps, follow them home.
00:19:08 ADHD makes people blind to clutter.
00:21:33 Premium episode at weeniecast.com breaks down manifestation practice.
00:23:38 Focus on calling it in, not figuring it out.
00:27:12 Relax, be open to new opportunities. Have faith.

Mastering Time Management for ADHD Entrepreneurs: Daily, Weekly, and Monthly Tips
"If you build a business to take over your life, you will have a business that will take over your life. However, if you create a business that is specifically designed to support the life you want to live, you're going to end up with a business that supports the life you want to live." - Katie McManus, Brave Business Coaching
As a business strategist and money mindset coach, I have helped entrepreneurs who have ADHD and are struggling with time management. In this episode of Weeniecast, I share my experience and offer daily, weekly, and monthly practices that can help take ownership of your time and create a business that supports your lifestyle.
Owning Your Time
Let's name that taking control of your time as an entrepreneur is essential to creating a balanced, successful business that aligns with the life you want to live.
Designing and implementing effective time management strategies foster a sense of accomplishment, satisfaction, and personal well-being. And boy do we all need that in our lives, yes?
As ADHD entrepreneurs we need to recognize the value of our time, eradicate time-wasting activities, and focus on tasks that propel their business forward.
In this episode, I, Katie McManus share my own experiences of initially being available to clients at all times, which led to chaos and feelings of overwhelm.
By restricting client booking times to specific days, I was able to allocate more time to focus on other tasks. I'm here to help you figure it out so you can do the same!
Daily practices
Integrating daily practices that cater to mind, body, and spirit is crucial for entrepreneurs. Effective daily practices include setting daily goals, working on physically active or relaxing activities, engaging in mindfulness or meditation, and dedicating time to personal growth. There are three non-negotiable daily practices I suggest to all ADHD entrepreneurs.
This episode that's all about ADHD time management mastery, covers:
- Master the essential daily, weekly, and monthly time management practices for entrepreneurs.
- Strike a balance between personal and professional time by prioritizing both in your schedule.
- Boost your productivity by limiting client bookings to specific days for increased focus.
- Discover the significance of nurturing your mind, body, and spirit through self-care routines.
- Leverage the power of a supportive community to propel your business to success.

Hey lovely weenie! Welcome to another episode of The Weeniecast - the podcast for ADHD entrepreneurs seeking business strategies. I'm your host Katie McManus.
As someone who has personally experienced the challenges of starting a business and dealing with the pressure and expectations that come with it, I understand the importance of addressing our emotional well-being.
We often get so caught up in the intellectual side of things, trying to make sense of our feelings, that we neglect to actually process and release them.
Watch the episode promo Don't be intellectualizing emotions! It's essential for ADHD entrepreneurs to learn how to fully feel and process their emotions, both the good and the bad.
By doing so, we not only gain a better understanding of ourselves, but also enhance our ability to connect with others and build successful businesses.
Emotions should not be seen as obstacles to success, but rather as tools that can support and guide us on our entrepreneurial journey.
I, myself, have had to to the work on this thanks to PTSD caused by a brain injury, and I recognize the importance of therapy in supporting my business endeavors.
Do you know, children with ADHD often struggle to communicate their emotions effectively, leading to emotional dysregulation?
Many individuals with ADHD learn to intellectualize their emotions rather than process them fully, resulting in trapped energy and unresolved feelings.
This can be detrimental to both personal and professional growth.
The stigma around your natural emotions when you have adhdThe episode highlights the misconceptions and stigma surrounding emotions, particularly in the business world.
Emotions are often seen as obstacles to success rather than valuable tools for understanding and connecting with others.
Katie challenges this perspective, highlighting the importance of embracing the full range of emotions to live a fulfilling life and run a successful business.
She acknowledges the difficulty of processing negative emotions but emphasizes the necessity of doing so in order to fully experience positive emotions like joy and love.
