Back in early 2019, 9-year-old Serenity Dennard had been living at the Black Hills Children's Home in Rockerville, South Dakota. She had been living at the home since July of 2018. Her adoptive parents had placed her there after her behavior became too difficult to manage along with their other children at home. Serenity was on track to complete a one-year residential program at the children’s home in July and return to her adoptive parents. However, on the morning of February 3, 2019, she ran away from the home while staff members were distracted. She was last spotted by an incoming visitor, standing at the cattle gate near the road. Severe winter weather came through later that day, and Serenity had on snow boots, but no coat. She has never been seen again.

If you have any information about the disappearance of Serenity Dennard, you are urged to call the Pennington County Sheriff’s Office at 605-394-6115. You can also call the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children at 1-800-843-5678 or 1-800-THE-LOST.

On Saturday, June 30, 1984, 21-year-old Harry Milligan finished his job painting a house and met some friends at a bar called Waterworks in Albia, Iowa. The bar was just over a ten-minute drive from his home in nearby Avery, Iowa. We don’t know for sure what transpired inside the bar that night. There have been stories that Harry won a large sum of money in a card game, but this can’t be substantiated. Harry’s friends reported that later they grabbed a six-pack to go and rode around cruising. The group returned to where they had parked their cars and went their separate ways. His friends said they saw Harry drive off in the direction of his home.

The following morning, Harry’s mom was worried that he hadn’t returned home. She began calling around, but no one had seen or heard from Harry. Later, after searching the roads between Albia and Avery, his mom called the police to report Harry missing. There have been many rumors about what happened to Harry, but more than 36 years later, they are still searching for Harry.

If you have any information about the disappearance of Harry Milligan, please contact the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office at 641-932-7815

We first brought you Ebby's story back in March of 2017. Ebby's mom, Laurie, told us about her frustrating journey to have her daughter's case investigated properly. At the end of our original episode, there was a new team looking into her disappearance. Laurie was hopeful. A little over a year later, there would be a major break in the case when detective Tommy Hudson decided to search areas of the park where Ebby's car had been found. Areas that her family had been told were searched previously. That was when they discovered Ebby's remains just 60 feet from where her car had been found. In this update, Laurie is joining us again to discuss how Ebby was found and where her case stands today.

If you have any information about the disappearance and murder of Ebby Steppach, please call the Little Rock Police Department at (501) 404-3128.

The Vanished Podcast - Emily Noble

Emily Noble

The Vanished Podcast

play

09/21/20 • 82 min

On the evening of May 24, 2020, 52-year-old Emily Noble was out celebrating her birthday with her husband. They stopped at several restaurants in a popular part of Westerville, Ohio, and then made their way home for the evening. During the night, Emily’s husband got up to use the restroom and then went back to sleep in a guest room, not wanting to disturb Emily. When he woke up later that morning, Emily was gone, and her wallet, phone, keys, and car were still at the residence. Emily has not been seen since the evening she went out for her birthday, and rumors and allegations have swirled around this story from day one.

Last week, human remains were found in a wooded area not far from Emily's condo. At this time, those remains have not been identified.

On September 22, 2020, the Westerville Police Department held a press conference about the remains recovered last week. They said that the dental comparison was "consistent" with Emily Noble's dental records but that they are going to do DNA test to be sure. The DNA comparison could take some time. The autopsy is not complete, there is no news on a cause or manner of death. They also mentioned that the area was searched by authorities multiple times, at least one time with cadaver dogs. Emily's family has been notified and Matt was notified via his attorney. Our thoughts are with Emily's loved ones at this time.

If you have any information about the disappearance of Emily Noble, you are asked to call the Westerville Police Department at 614-901-6866. You may also email tips to [email protected].

June 2021 UPDATE- On June 17, 2021, Emily Noble's husband, Matheau Moore, was arrested and charged with two counts of murder and one count of felonious assault. In a press conference, law enforcement stated that “Emily had multiple facial and neck fractures. This was a clear case of homicide staged as a suicide.”

In August of 2022, Matheau Moore was found not guilty.
