This day recognizes the founding of the International Jugglers’ Association on June 17th 1947. Every year “World Juggling Day” takes place on the Saturday closest to June 17th and it invites jugglers the world over to organize events like juggling festivals, juggling games, or juggling stunts. Creepy clown paint is optional.

While most are celebrating Father’s Day, this day also marks the Summer Solstice and therefore the first official day of summer in the United States. It occurs either on June 20, 21, or 22 every year when the top of the sun’s arc across the sky (it’s zenith) reaches its northernmost point, as the northern hemisphere leans closest to the sun.

Basically, the sun just decided, “That’s close enough, Canada!”
