Relieve Your Shoulder Earrings
On this episode, I am excited to teach you how to get rid of your shoulder earrings.......I totally used to have them..... that’s what I call them... when I look at people and it is hard to see their necks... they have shortened the distance between their ears and their shoulders.... so that they are wearing their shoulders as earrings! Take a look around....you will see it too....so very common....and take a look in the mirror...you may even notice this in yourself! I sure did!
So shoulder earrings have 2 main etiologies (or causes):
#1: the chronic stress response doing its thing...constricting muscles so you can be in “the ready position” for the emergency you need to tackle even though there really isn’t any emergency at all... it is just your brain telling you words that aren’t true
#2: technology...all of this computer time, cell phones, tablets...sitting hunched over....your brain gets used to you being in this position and then it thinks it is the new norm and you actually get stuck in muscular contraction. This is a somatic yoga concept coined by Thomas Hanna called Sensory Motor Amnesia and I dive deeper into this concept in episode #7 Stretching is a Stretch (so if you haven't listened, yet, check it out! You will love it!)
Follow along with me in this episode and learn how to simply and effectively relieve your shoulder earrings! You will feel sooo much better :)

I have to....
On this episode I am going to chat with you about these 3 little words...“I have to”....these 3 little words that are incredibly heavy...
they weigh us way down.....
and we say them all day long....
and we don’t even realize that we are saying them...
”I have to this”....
”I have to that”....
on and on....
Each time you say “I have to”, what happens?
It’s like an invisible weight is placed on top of your head...and it feels yucky to “have to” do something...
to “have to” do many things...
especially all.day.long...
and it is sooo stressful!
I know this feeling well...
So I take you through a typical scenario in my life when I am "I have to-ing" all over myself so you can see just what I am talking about.
Then I take you through the same situation in which I change these 3 disempowering words "I have to" to 3 empowering words "I get to" and let you see how drastically different that feels (in an AMAZING way!)
Check it out, apply it, and notice how empowered you feel!
