The Sloppy Boys

The guys try a bourbon-champagne cocktail once believed to be the “forgotten” house cocktail of an historic hotel.

SEELBACH RECIPE

1oz/30ml Old Forester Bourbon
.5oz/30ml Triple Sec
7 dashes Angostura Bitters
7 dashes Peychaud’s Bitters
5oz/150ml Korbel Brut

Combine bourbon, triple sec and bitters in a champagne flute and stir briefly. Pour in champagne. Twist an orange peel and rub rim on the flute. Drop the twist into the cocktail.

12oz bottle of Topo Chico
1.5oz/45ml Tequila Blanco
.5oz/15ml Lime Juice

Open the bottle and drink down part of the neck. Add tequila and lime juice into the bottle. Mix lightly. Enjoy in the bottle or pour out into your favorite cocktail glass.
