Kelly has used his notoriety to bring awareness to many significant causes, from sustainable living and a healthier ocean to suicide prevention. “ The only positive thing about fame is to be able to do something good with it,” Kelly says, “And I feel I have an obligation to pass on positivity about our environment and the world in general.” This commitment to environmentalism and philanthropy has made Kally Slater a champion off the surfboard as much as on one.
