I'm Renae Matt and I've been where you are! I work full-time, I'm growing my own business, and I still want to spend quality date nights with my husband. Over the years I got so tired of the housework, the bills, and the never-ending list of things to do. I was trying to keep track of it all. It was overwhelming and I felt like I had no time left to ENJOY life.
Over time, I began to build simple routines to get organized. I set up the framework to have a foundation of routines that I can fall back on even when everything else feels like it's falling apart.
On this podcast, I share what I have learned so YOU can also build these routines that can transform your life!

We can't get lost time back and God didn't create us to live our lives checking off boxes and drowning in errands.

You will no longer go to make dinner and realize the chicken is still in the freezer.
You also won’t have veggies rotting in the produce drawer because, even despite the best of intentions, it just seems like too much work to clean veggies when all you want to do is get dinner on the table as quickly as you can.

I’ve been having conversations recently with other women about their morning routines, and one of the common things I’ve heard is that they feel like they aren’t keeping up with this routine because life gets too busy, but they still have a strong desire to have a morning routine.
I don’t think it has to be all or nothing. And the great thing about a morning routine is that you don’t just have to follow one routine - your morning routine should be crafted just for you!

Whether we are aware of it happening or not, as life goes on, we collect STUFF. Before we know it, our homes are brimming with miscellaneous things. Yes, some of those things are useful and important, but so much of it is just “stuff” and even causes frustration because it always feels messy. When we have too much stuff, there isn’t enough space for everything to have a home, drawers and cupboards become too full to close, and we begin to believe that we just don’t have the skills to keep a tidy home.
If your house is messy, it might not have anything to do with your ability to keep a clean home. Yes, a tidy home takes intentional habits, but if our homes are overrun with “stuff”, it makes it very hard to keep up with it all! There’s that old break-up saying that goes, “It’s not you, it’s me.” Well, let’s take a version of that so we can break up with the junk and make sure you know that if it’s tough to keep a tidy home, it’s not your fault. Because.... “It’s not you, it’s your stuff.”
So let’s get rid of it!

How often do you create a to-do list that has 30 things written down the page? And how often are you able to FULLY accomplish all your "to-do" tasks before more get added?
Most of us create a to-do list that lists a bazillion things and we don’t have enough time to complete them all. So we end up with partly finished lists, then we continue to add more tasks, and it’s a never-ending cycle of a never-ending to-do list that leaves us feeling overwhelmed and always feeling behind.
What would you say if I told you I want you to ditch the traditional to-do list? Don’t panic because I have a better solution that will help you stay on top of your meal planning, budgeting, home cleaning, exercise AND your to-do list tasks - just without the mile long list! ;) You will save time and frustration and actually get things done! If you feel like you are running ragged every day just trying to keep up with all of your responsibilities and obligations, I can relate! When I first started timeblocking, I realized my days were starting at 5:30am and ending around 10pm (without breaks) and I would be ending the day completely exhausted and feeling like I still didn’t accomplish everything I needed to do. This was also during a time that I didn’t have a morning routine yet so everything was taking my energy and I wasn’t prioritizing the time to get reenergized either. It was a constant state of “feeling behind” and feeling completely overwhelmed.
This timeblocking practice helped me reorganize my day to be able to focus on my priorities and also be more productive with my responsibilities. I was able to be more efficient and productive while opening up SPACE in my day.
When you start doing this, you can actually get more done while feeling MORE rested - it’s magic!

My digital calendar is my main schedule with my time commitments, and my paper planner helps lay out my day stack and acts as more of a guide for me to reach my goals for the week.
