Mom life. We're surrounded by the message that it's the tired life. The no-time-for-myself life. The hard life. We're supposed to get through it. Survive. Cling on by the last little thread. And at the same time, Carpe Diem - enjoy every moment because it's going to go by so fast. The typical mom culture sends us all kinds of mixed, typically negative messages. We shouldn't take care of ourselves; it's selfish. The more ragged you run yourself, the bigger your badge of honor. But also, ditch your mom bod and work out. Don't yell. Make more money. Show up. Be better, but not at the expense of time with your kids. I am putting a hard stop to all of this. While being a mom, running a business, and whatever else you might have going on is hard, it is a lot and there's lots of giving of yourself, the idea that motherhood means living a joyless, nonstop-hustle-with-zero-balance kind of life, where you give and give and give and never take, needs to stop. I'm on a mission to help you stop counting down the minutes 'til bedtime (at least most days). Stop the mom guilt and shame game. Stop cleaning up after your kids' childhood and start being present for it. I want to help you thrive in work, home, and life. I believe in John 10:10 that we are called to living an abundant life and I know moms are not excluded from that promise. Join me in conversations about simplicity, some business and life hacks, spirituality and lots of other good stuff that leads to a life of less for the sake of enjoying more in your motherhood. I'm Allie Casazza and this is The Purpose Show.

"I Am Enough" was a book I read earlier this year and it has landed in my top 5 books of 2022, and I knew I wanted to round out this years podcast episodes having a conversation with the incredible author, Marisa Peer.

Spending decades working as a therapist, she found that most issues point back to one belief: I am not enough. If you are not enough, then you are needing something more. But if you know you are enough, you can have more but not need it. If you are feeling like you are not enough ____ (fill in the blank to whatever that is), this message is for you.

Marisa is going to walk through how to overcome shame and rewire your brain to believe (and live out) that you ARE enough. As you head into 2023, I hope you can walk in the confidence that you truly are enough.

In this episode Allie AND Marisa discuss:

  • Enoughness; what it is, where it comes from, and why it matters
  • Where you should begin to believe that truly you are enough
  • Making shame and hurt familiar (it's a powerful thing you HAVE to understand!)
  • Self talk - what to avoid and how to affirm yourself

In this episode, I’m finally bringing to the podcast what I’ve been living and teaching inside Becoming Her Collective—the Becoming Her Daily Ritual. This is something I’ve been practicing consistently for over a year, and it’s been a complete game-changer for me.

If you’ve ever felt inconsistent or overwhelmed trying to find time for inner work, energy practices, or just aligning with who you want to become, this is for you. It’s a super simple, sustainable, 25-minute daily routine designed to help you stay grounded and focused, no matter how busy life gets.

I break down the five steps:

  1. Guided Visualization – Get clear on your desires and see your future self living them out.
  2. EFT/Tapping – Clear out any negative energy and make space for what you want.
  3. Scripting – Journal as your future self to step into her mindset and actions.
  4. Self-Talk Practice – Use affirmations and positive self-talk to rewire your mindset and raise your energy.
  5. Movement – Move your body in a way that feels good and aligns your energy for the day.

This ritual has literally transformed how I feel and show up every day, and I can’t wait for you to try it. Whether you have 25 minutes or just 10, this practice will bring major shifts into your life.

CTA: If you’re ready to go all in, join the Becoming Her Daily Consistency Challenge and let’s do this together!

The Purpose Show - EP 371: Overcoming Self-Care Rebellion
play

08/23/24 • 32 min

In this episode, I’m breaking down the sneaky rebellion a lot of us feel toward self-care. It’s not that we don’t want to take care of ourselves—we know it’s important—but when it starts to feel like another chore, our subconscious pushes back. Here’s the thing: if your self-care routine feels forced or like a to-do list, you're missing the fun, pleasure, and joy your brain needs to actually thrive.

I’m sharing how to infuse real joy into your self-care, whether it’s picking workouts you love, making bedtime feel luxurious, or finding excitement in cooking healthy meals. When you make these routines enjoyable, you stop feeling that inner resistance and start looking forward to them.

If you’re struggling with this rebellion against self-care, this episode will help you shift your mindset, find balance between responsibility and play, and create a routine that truly nourishes you. Let’s make self-care something you actually want to do.
