First elected in 1996 Mayor Keats has played a internal part in the municipal landscape in the province. He served as President of Municipalities Newfoundland and Labrador, and has sat on the Federation of Canadian Municipalities as well. Earlier this year he was announced as one of the 3 Canadian Mayors in the running to be the “Worlds Mayor”.
