Breaking the shackles of shame
The Open Range
09/17/24 • 35 min
Shame is a dark prison that we create for ourselves when we choose to hold back parts of ourselves in order to protect ourselves from more harm, but in attempts to protect ourself we create disarray and disharmony in our lives, our relationship’s and our body.
But what if we were to finally share that shame in a safe space with friend or family member?
What if those people held space with loving empathy, kindness and grace?
What if instead of being met with rejection we were met with acceptance and people said, "me too!"
Maybe, just maybe, we would actually get to loosen the grip that shame has on us and those cell walls would start to crumble.
In this week’s episode Ro shares with us how she’s releasing her shackles of shame and how they led her to this very place of exploring equine connection
This is a raw, real and very vulnerable episode that highlights the intimate details of Ro's journey. She discusses things like mental health diagnoses, stigmatisation, victimisation, hospitalisation, inner child work and so much more!
*Please note that I am not a health professional and these are reflections of my own personal lived experience and if you or someone you know is struggling with their mental health, please seek professional support*
