Gem is an obstetrician and has recently become a new mum with her wife Emma. I was delighted when she offered to share her journey to parenthood the good and the less than ideal so that we can learn how to improve our services to support same sex parents as they become a family.
Gem can be contacted on twitter @gem_goodyear
