My sister is staying over and we have visited Dad in the care home we have had to place him in. On today’s Naked Englishman podcast we chat about the changes that have taken place and the practices that go on.

This episode is a passionate plea for people to realise what a fabulous place England, and indeed, Britain is and how I worry we are spoiling it. It is also an acknowledgement that i am unable to make the episodes as good as I would like.

I had a lovely birthday up at Harriet’s house in Shrewsbury. A lovely escape from my Dad and his dementia. Thanks for the birthdays wishes and cards. My sister held the fort while I was away, but it was pretty full on for her, particularly at night, so we need to formulate a plan to look after my dad better.

I have been painting at my Dad’s house today because we need to let his property to help raise money for the care home. I tell you about a wonderful place I am off to tomorrow and some of the war time history I am looking to explore.
