In this episode of The Mushroom Show, we're trying to answer the age old question- how many species of mushrooms are there? It's a lot more difficult to answer than you might think, and has some pretty profound implications. We review a new report called The State of The World's Plants and Fungi 2023 and dig into the details.
We're also going to be commemorating Roland Griffiths, a professor in the Departments of Psychiatry and Neurosciences at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and founding director of the Johns Hopkins Center on Psychedelic and Consciousness Research.
Roland passed away on October 16 at the age of 77 after a battle with colon cancer- and we are covering some of the contributions that he and his team made to the advancement of Psilocybin as a medicine.
