Vicky Midwood - AKA: The Addictions Eliminator & Health Creator is an integrative health, nutrition and lifestyle coach who has been in the fitness and wellness world for over 32 years. She is an author, podcaster (Raw Chatter) and creator of the B.L.A.S.T method to fabulous freedom.
Vicky started out as a fitness and fat loss instructor in 1991 as a way to justify and hide her bulimia, food, alcohol and exercise obsession - she shares her experiences with us on the podcast. On the outside she aimed to inspire, be a role model of fitness, strength and control, yet on the inside she was a full of guilt and shame and exhausted from hiding her real behaviour around food and alcohol.

Driven by her own rehabilitation experiences, Vicky has a passion for helping others to reconnect to themselves as a whole, to re-imagine life free from the daily obsession and compulsion to use food and/or alcohol to reward, numb-out, soothe and cope with feelings and the daily routine.

She states that her mission is to help you understand YOU in a way you never have before, and to embrace ALL that you are, instead of you feeling you have to be MORE than you are.

This podcast is taken from a LIVE Facebook session. In this podcast I talk through starting to change now and not putting it off. Ask yourself the question: Why are you not taking steps to improve your eating now? Why are you not making the decision to address weight gain? What's stopping you? There could be a number of reasons and I talk about some of the most common ones, which might be making it hard for you (and why there’s never a time like the present...).
In this podcast I chat informally about some of the reasons behind the indecision and how I approach weight loss coaching, mindful eating coaching and give my clients healthy eating and lasting weight loss solution. I can provide you with the weight loss motivation you need to do it for good. You are worth the investment in self-care and a future happy relationship with food to find a healthy eating pattern of weight loss for a healthy body and healthy mind. You just need to start! Most of my clients start to lose weight in a month. But more importantly they fix their eating - now!
If you don't do it now, when will be the right time? You can fix your eating now by making a decision to change how you eat, and to change your relationship with food. You don't have to live with disordered eating. the Mindful Eating Clinic can show you a weight loss solution which will stay with you forever. This podcast is about why dieting doesn't work and the reasons why dieting is bad. Over 80% of diets don't work in the long term in fact there are several reasons why dieting is bad! The way to lose weight is to stop dieting! In this podcast, extracted from a YouTube video, I talk about some of the reasons why diets don't work to help you understand why we need a new approach to lasting weight loss.
So instead - learn how to stop dieting and start living, stop yo yo dieting and lose weight for good. This video gives several reasons why diet don't work. The dieting industry is worth billions because it denies the fact that diets don't work and encourages you back for more of their diet mentality motivation. But, it's not the only way to manage weight. Mindful eating is the way to retrain how you think about food and to improve your eating behaviours - it's a way to get out of the fact that dieting is unhealthy. You will lose weight healthily and naturally. What's more you can find lasting weight loss by understanding why diets don't work and make a decision to do it another way. You can learn how to lose weight in a lasting way.
There's a more natural way to lose weight which means you never have to diet again. Mindful eating isn't a quick fix diet which restricts what you can or can't eat. It's the new way to find a better relationship with food, increase healthy eating and ditch the diets for good. Because diets don' t work - this is the approach of The Mindful Eating Clinic, an approach which can teach you how to maintain a diet for weight loss. So stop dieting and find food freedom forever!

We chat with Elle Mace this month. It was difficult to come up with a title for this one because we talk about SO much! Elle talks about her history with restriction, bingeing and bulimia but not just that, also she shares how she came to understand why it was happening and what aspects of her life had contributed to her eating behaviour.
Elle has lived it and experienced it. She has the experience of living with body dysmorphia and disordered eating which has driven her to be passionate to support anyone suffering with their relationship to food, their body, themselves and others.
Elle Mace is a master practitioner in eating disorders, obesity and nutrition. She works with clients on a 121, group and online basis as well as running retreats and her own podcast. Her chat with me talks about how she overcame her issues and what she thinks it important to heal others. We chat about how to raise children without eating issues and the damage of dieting.
We share our coaching common ground and some tips about how you can start to recover from disordered eating.

Today I am joined by weight loss surgeon Simon Monkhouse. In our fascinating conversation Simon helps us navigate the different weight loss surgical options, as well as emphasising the importance of an holistic approach to a successful outcome for bariatric patients. One area of which is mindful eating.
We discuss the complex nature of obesity, the damage done by dieting to our natural weight set point and metabolism, and how surgery interrupts and resets the body to help people suffering with obesity reconnect with their hormones to eat more normally and lose weight.
