The Lotuscast
Adam returns from filming, David Langill visits the show, and the situations around our interviews may be more interesting than our interviews with Peter Cullen, Frank Welker, and Lou Ferrigno that lead up to Rhode Island Comic Con. All this before Joe can back out of a solo interview. We started the show off discussing the woman who went around filming a guy who she claimed was secretly filming young girls. While we have no proof the guy was filmed anyone, it's not illegal to film people in parks or public areas. We talked about the new Star Trek series in the works for next year. It's being banished to CBS All Access in a bid to drive viewers to the service, however the general consensus is that we will be torrenting the new series. Dave foolishly claimed that all new shows are superhero shows, but refuses to back down when presented with facts. In the second hour, we talked about how the interview with Peter Cullen and Frank Welker came about. Matt had scheduled the interview and invited everyone to join. Joe was the only who accepted the invite. The night of the interview, Matt has trouble connecting to the conference call, which left Joe the only one to do the interview. We play the awkward solo interview with Peter Cullen and Frank Welker where they talk about their favorite voices, picking the right voice for a character, and THEN HAVING MEGATRON HAVE A DISCUSSION WITH EEYORE. Matt setup the next interview with Lou Ferrigno over Text message with Lou himself. The story of the text messages involves sending back Salmon dinners three times, pictures of Matt's wife, and Bailey Jay. Lou came on and did a phone interview with us, and described working as Michael Jackson's personal trainer, and not drinking alcohol to get drunk. Harvey's Headlines this week: Lesbian Couple Arrested In Hawaii For Kissing T-Mobile's Netflix and HBO Data free Comcast Data Caps and "Fairness" Candy Crush Dev King sold to Activision for $5.9B. Dude Fired From Job After Video Of Him Punching Uber Driver Makes Rounds Guy Detonates Bomb At Mississippi Wal-Mart Because They Don't Sell Confederate Paid Patriotism Report Sandra Bullock's Ocean 11 Singapore Airlines Denies That Sheep Farts Made Them Land Plane We'll be broadcasting at the Rhode Island Comic Con outside the Film Festival run by David Langill and featuring lots of great movies, including our own short - The Kreed. Black Daughter

We had Phil, Carissa, and Mischa from Black Daughter in to play some music, talk about the Oklahoma parade crash, and premiere a new Harvey's Headlines song. All this before Carissa and Matt use a homemade soap. Matt started the show with the suggestion that we don't use shampoo or soap in the shower as this will not protect your body from infections. His only recommendation is to use goat's milk soap for some reason he can't explain. Black Daughter describes the unique origin to their name (not racist). They have a kickstarter that raised $12,000, including 3 people that donated $1,000 each to record an album at the Killer's personal studio. The prize for $1,000 donation was a custom song, and Matt talked about ordering from the Max Beamis' Song Shop. Carissa talked about how she joined the band, and Phil hands out business cards with only "I'm Phil" on it. Black Daughter played their first song of the show, "Marionette". We came back from break, and Phil revealed that he is a very young looking 36, and Carissa claims she is a young 21. Everyone talks about how they find new music - buying singles on iTunes, listening to the first 10 seconds on Spotify, and the importance of trying to capture and maintain an audience. Phil talked about their upcoming show (October 30th) at the Middle East in Cambridge, Boston (we attended!). Black Daughter played their second song on the show, "Hello Operator". Mischa and Phil talk about their love of the new GSN gameshow, The Hellevator. We even got everyone to try our moonshine. Lastly, we talked about the Oklahoma Parade Crash with the woman drunk driver. Dave brought in the video footage as well. Black Daughter concluded with another song, "Heavy Hand".
