
The Ground Zero Dragon Boat Festival is Here! Talking about Community, Leadership & Making a Difference with Stephanie Sebring

In this special Dragon Boat Festival episode, we are on the scene at Market Common with Ground Zero's Stephanie Sebring as she describes the event and the difference it makes for the community.
True Leadership is not about being on top - it's about lifting up others and no one is better to speak about this than Stephanie from Ground Zero. Year after year, Ground Zero provides a safe and inspiring place for youth in our community to get fellowship with others and grow as people.
The Dragon Boat Festival plays a huge role in funding the operations of Ground Zero by fund raising, sponsorships and Vendor participation.
Some big takeaways from the show:
-The Dragon Boat Festival is this Saturday, April 29th at Market Common in Myrtle Beach
-There will be music, food, kids events such as bounce castles and of course sitting by the lake watching teams compete for the medals
-The event has been going on for 15 years
-There are over 40 Boats in the race with 21 members per team (20 paddlers and 1 drummer)
-Each Team Member has a goal to raise $250 a piece - and it's not too late to donate!
-There are over 125 students that come to Ground Zero every week
-At the event there will be 2 special Club Teams that are going to put on a demonstration this year at the Festival that will put up times that will show how fast these boats can really go
If you want to do a good thing for your community, make a difference in a kids life, have some fun and enjoy time with your friends, workers and family - please come out and support the Festival this weekend.
