In the wake of reports that show major issues in our residential care system, we ask the question: Where is the model of therapeutic residential care that has already been shown to work? In this episode we discuss the history and current state of therapeutic care, and the links we can draw between under-resourcing the residential care system for children in State care, later homelessness and violence, and how easily we lose sight of past evaluations, enquiries and other reports.

Adela and Stephan discuss the challenges of schools adopting a trauma informed approach in the classroom and juggling notions of group fairness, social justice, and healing.
